    I found a pound coin on the pavement and bought a sausage roll for my lunch

    They were clearing out cupboards in Dh work and were going to chuck loads of stuff out. He came home with 2 bags of freezer bags ( the zip closed kind), and a whole roll each of good quality tin foil and proper cling film. I usually buy the cheapest I can find, so it's nice to have some nicer stuff for a wee treat!

    £5 Debenham voucher courtesy of MSE, lovely T-shirt in the post (prezzie for DH for Xmas) for a few quid courtesy of an online mob deal, found a £5 off voucher for Boots no. & which is still valid and I am going to use it today to buy DD's a Xmas prezzie too.

    Ah and instead of buying lunch out as I was about to do, I was inspired by this thread and will have a sandwich at home before going out, instead! Thank you all!
    Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Charity shop bargains. A fleece poncho £3, and 3 sweaters (one NEXT, One M & S and one dunno what!) for £2, £1.75 and 60p respectively...all for DD. So, so so pleased with these great bargains today :-)

    I am trying to lose weight (lost some so far) so reluctant to spend too much on clothes until I "settle". Did the round of CSs last weekend and found a lovely camel coloured coat, 80% wool, for £5.50 - brand new!!
    Also bought a couple of travel sized bath bits for 30p each, and 4 books (latest, as new) for 50p each.
  • Well my free nivea make up removers came through the post day (they are about £3-£4 in the shops), my nan gave me £10 to say thankyou for sorting out her prescriptions and docs appointments for this and next week. My mum bought me a box of wine, cause me sorting my nan out ment she didn't have too. So all in all a very good day
    Have 3 DS: 18, 5 & 3. Would love a 4th.

    Today was given 4 butternut squashes. a small marrow, leeks, beetroot and 2 kinds of spuds from a friend's garden. Methinks soup-making may be on the cards.....:p
  • Bag of magazines from mum, she must spend a blooming fortune on the things!!:eek:
    Best thing is she leaves all the coupons in them so hopefully there will be some i can put to good use:)

  • A white mohair rectangular shawl and two tops,one of them woollen,in a charity shop.
    Some split peas and lentils in an Indian shop,whose prices are even lower than the usual shop that I frequent.
