Morning
I'm usually a lurker but I HAD to share, no-one understands like you guys will! I collected 'various kitchenware' from a freecycler last night and amongst it all was a le cruset casserole dish complete with lid in a beautiful graduated red colour! :j:j:j
There was also cream enamel colander, ramekins, pastry cutters and much more. I can't stop smiling, OH thinks I'm bonkers!:D0 -
My mum popped round with the last of her rhubarb and toms from her allotment, also 2 fresh chilli's and 12 free range eggs from my brothers chucks
Last post before this one was about kitchen bits off freecycle...

I went to Ikea today and it being half-term I ended up having to take my 14 & 9 year old kids with me, bleah. However much to my joy they were running some activities for children over the holidays and the 9 year old soon got stuck into the word search pumpkin hunt round the store. 14 year old was far too cool to do it of course and pretended he was only helping his little sister out...but when they both got a free pack of Patrull dingly dangly safety refective things for their school backpacks as prizes he was really quite pleased with them, bless. Such small things make my day, really.Val.0

First post - so be kind?!
Neighbour gave me a load of unused boxers for DS2 as her son tried one pair and has decided he hates them.
Mum had DS2 and DS3 for tea and DS1 has said he will take DH to pick up his new (third hand) car on Sat, so saving me a fortune on the petrol in my car (his is a small fiesta diesel).
I am also giving a load of halloween stuff to the school tmrw (I am a PTA member) for their halloween disco.Have 3 DS: 18, 5 & 3. Would love a 4th.

Looking through the withdrawn stock outside our local library there was an unabridged Terry Pratchett audio book (cassettes) for £3  ! The cheapest you ever get them is around £15. If I wasn't such a TP fan it would be worth it to ebay or something.
Anyway . . . . Checked inside as I went to pay and there was a cassette missing. Told the woman behind the desk and she said that if that was the case she couldn't sell it to me (even though I offered to still pay for it) but seen as it was going to go in the bin I was welcome to have it for free. RESULT !All that is gold does not glitter

My other half is working for one of our friends tiling her bathroom( he runs his own business) and she was getting rid of a used once electric cooler box (the one you plug into the car lighter socket) offered to pay for it and she she refused and gave it us for free its like brand new and well over £50 new! also we went on holiday a few weeks ago and stayed in a cottage in Cumbria when we were there the owner who lived next door said we could help ourselves to some cooking apples from the trees hence we have a freezer full of stewed apples and apple pies!0

A pair of shoes for DS2, a pair for DH, a tie for DS1 and two bottles of unopened beer. All unused, and free (left unclaimed at place DH works and given to him for disposal)
I have given the bottles a good wipe over with anti-whatsit wipe. I've sprayed the shoes with same just in case.0 -
An unopened tub of B*dy Sh*p 3-in-1 cleansing mask came my way today courtesy of someone who was gifted it but acknowledged that they would never use it so passed it on .... how kind!
