Hi guys,Hope I've got the right board here. Am a newbie poster. Have been reading the threads for about a month now, and am sure that I read at some point, a recipe for a potato bake with leek and bacon in it. Have been searching through the mega index, and have tried doing a search for leek etc, and I can't find it. Was it one of Black Saturn's recipes?Planned to have it for our dinner tonight, and bought the leek especially, now I can't find the recipe.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Why don't you just make something up, much easier than searching...
Fry up the leeks and the bacon, I would do some onion as well, cook the potato (either in chunks to mash, or slices), layer in a baking dish, perhaps cover with some cheese and maybe a splash of milk/cream to keep it moist, and then bake in the oven for say 40 minutes-1 hour at 180 or until cooked.0 -
I do a leek bacon and potato pie, the leek and bacon are fried off together, add a little flour and cook gently stirring well for about 2 minutes, add 1/2 pt milk until it forms a thick sauce like consistency. Put into an oven proof dish, cover with mashed potato and cook in a medium oven for 20 - 30 minutes until the top is starting to brown.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I can find a mention where Black Saturn says she's got a recipe coming up, but I can't find the recipe.
The nearest I can find, apart from the one moggins has just posted, is this one:-
Onion potato and bacon hotpot
Then there is a potato bake by Black Saturn here:-
