If you phone M & S they are only offering £50.00 trade in on the 32" Sony instore. Also the W series is superior to the V series.

Woah! Now THAT's what I call a present. If you ever become single again please give me a shout! :D

EDIT "Also the W series is superior to the V series."
I can't speak for the V series but I have a 40W5500 model that I got a few months ago and it is fantastic. Needed extra speakers for richer deeper sound in movies, but fine for day to day TV.

  • Please tell me the diff btw LED and LCD; also Freesat (I suppose this is via satellite - which I don't have) and Freeview (which I currently have via a settop box). Also:
    1. does JL set up the Sony TV?
    2. is an outdoor aerial needed
    3. I only need the TV for watching channels; no games or internet (have separate pc anyway)
    4. would only require 32" model

So what model would suit the above?

    Thanks for all advice offered.

    Hi,

There is a 40" Bravia in the Tesco down the street from me. Is reduced from £749 to £649. I have a real old tv in the house here, so can I trade that in for £150 ? Use Quidco for the order as well, yeah ?

Have also been looking at the 42" LG that they have reduced to £467 in there. How do these two compare ??

    Thanks.

Does anyone know if you can get the 40" sony tv from currys and qualify for both trade in and there '£10 per goal' scheme (Hopefully making it less than 499!)?

I'd suggest not from the T&C's

But I guess you could still try and register and see what happens.

    More here:

Read LED TV reviews and you might be left wondering what the difference between an LED TV and an LCD TV is. Confusingly they both use LCD screens – the different names refer to the different ways in which light is used to generate the picture.

The term LED simply refers to one of the methods that manufacturers use to supply light to the back of an LCD screen.

It doesn't mention the trade-in offer on their website so it looks as though it is instore only... worth asking though, just to be sure!

I called them and asked this question and it's instore only. But if you take your old TV to a store they will place your order for you and arrange free delivery :)
