For those concerned about hiking a TV back to M&S

I was in my Local M&S last weekend when I clocked a very good deal
Sony W580 32" at £499 (built in freesat)

now here is the ++point there was £100 trade in offer on this
(not sure if this was specific to M&S Liverpool, and can't seem to get the trade in to work on line) bringing the TV down to £399 (bargain if you ask me)

Now I was told you can trade in any size of to get the £100 off
the guy in the shop even showed us some prehistoric portable TV that some had brought in to part ex
This is an excellent deal. I was looking at this Sony 32 W5810 TV in JL a few days ago, seen the deal on M&S website yesterday but I didnt think they would do a trade in as well. I am going to purchase ASAP been waiting for a tele for an age.

Can this ofer be bought online or is it in-store only?
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

It doesn't mention the trade-in offer on their website so it looks as though it is instore only... worth asking though, just to be sure!

I ordered this TV on Tuesday evening, rang them today and asked would they give the trade in price and they said no, to cancel the order and to buy instore.

i think everyone should look carefully at the specs before purchasing

there can be huge differences in picture quality

that's why i bought an LED tv enough though they're alot more expensive

Got a SONY KDL40EX503U from John Lewis last week. 649 GBP delivered, 5 yr warranty, pExed old 14" portable. Delivery men were very happy about this as they didn't want to move an old 30" CRT! Beat all the screenscraper deals I could find online. Offered several inferior models for the same money by 'discounters'. Watch out for the model numbers its easy to by an inferior set by mistake and the seller will not point it out to you.

Also got a new SKY+ HD box for free, no fitting fee if you ask to 'self install', this takes about 2 minutes if you have Sky already in the house. HD reception costs 10 GBP per month though.

Whole family absolutely WOWWED by the quality of this combo. TV has all the toys except FREESAT, but I think SKY+ is one of the few tech items which is well worth the money. HUMAX Freesat box would be a suitable alternative.

Only slight negative is the sound quality, which due to to size of the LCD box will inevitably be inferior to an old 'big box' telly. Home cinema speaker system will cure this in due course.

I can totally recommend this TV.:j

As far as I am aware the V models are only 50Hz and the W series are 100Hz. Reviews also suggest that the 37" screens were less good, using different components. But best to get what suits your needs.
