Well this thread has had the lot - now there's even talk of private investigators. If it gets anymore tense you could always sell the film rights and make some money that way Eagerlearner.

Hope it doesn't come to hiring your very own version of Magnum!

It's really great to see all the help and support you've been getting.

    Remember, its your money.

Sorry!!!! Already got the rights sewed up!!!:T

Thanks everyone - well, it really has been quite a day.

In a nutshell, today I got made redundant. Not because my bosses don't need me, but because our bigger bosses in the US don't feel they need our European division anymore. Current bosses have offered to help me get started as self-employed.

Obviously this is on my mind much more than landlady is now and I will need to investigate what is involved - from th elooks of it, I could be much better off and just need to be careful and put money aside each month to cover rainy days.

Re the change of address, I am off to Amsterdam for the day Saturday with friends and have Monday off, so plenty of time to think about it all. Maybe it is her address after all, maybe not. So frustrating - will have to decide next week and will prob present the new address to court and see where we go from there. If that gets nowhere, then the PI may well come into it.

    Slight headache!

First time posting on this thread but I have read all 656 msgs - honest ;)

Sorry to hear about your redundancy - same thing happened to me earlier this year. It looks like your company will treat you well, which helps a lot! Mine didn't, but after a few ups and downs I did OK. Hope you do too.

    Good luck!

  • I am hoping that we can still investigate the last address, and see whether there is still financial activity there, because supposedly she has already 'moved' to said new address by now so there should be no credit cards, bank acc etc registered at old address.

We should be able to verify within the next 4 weeks or so if she HAS actually moved. If so, then we will change the date with the court - as there are 6 years to chase her up on, this is safer to lay in wait, right?

Send a letter to her either recorded or special delivery. If she is using the Royal Mail forwarding service then when you get proof of delivery signature (included in special delivery extra for recorded) it should indicate where it was delivered if not the address sent to.

    edited for spelling
