Well i am back and even more determined to SAVE as much as i can in 2013.I am lucky enough to have 3 little cleaning jobs now which helps us out, BUT i need to set some aside and get cracking on saving hard!!


-We need a few bits of furniture indoors - decorating is now complete
-We have a 5 day break all paid for to butlins in May and need some spending money for that.
-I have started a parks Christmas saving account for the love2shop vouchers for next Christmas, this should help for next year IF i keep up the monthly payments!!


Debts are pretty much as low as can be, i do have a couple of catalogues i owe to (needed boots and some pieces of clothing), BUT they are very low and will be paid off by February/march!


DH`s loan is obviously still there until August 2015 - His applied for PPI reclaim aswell SO fingers crossed with that!!!


I lost my uncle (dads twin) a few weeks ago which was awful, such a great loss and a shock for us all!
No real worries taking me into the new year which is nice, just hope this year is kinder to us

This morning i paid 2 of my minimum payments for the catalogues - feel better knowing i wont incur a late payment fee on my January statement

Skint now have £0.00p in the bank/purse LOL!!

I am almost close to getting £10 paypal from swagbucks, i`m getting £10 almost once a week so by December 2013 i should have quite a bit!!

Today i feel i have started the new year on a positive - Heres hoping i keep it up and see a difference!

- Cashed in £10 paypal with swagbucks. Reached the daily target, i aim to do this everyday so i get that bonus - i love getting that LOL!


- Found £7 whilst clearing out the hallway cupboard - will help as we have no money til payday so will no doubt run out of milk and bread!


- Took the Christmas tree down, boxed all the tree decorations well (normally get thrown in a box LOL!) to avoid breakages - i don`t plan on spending out for new!!


- Cleared the `junk` drawer in the kitchen and it is now home to tea towels - hoping it stays that way and found a load of 1p`s and 2`ps - in the coppers pot they go!


- Checked my paypal account £10.54p in there so far :j

Today i logged into maximiles not been on there for ages and have over 1500 points, BUT have a long way to go if i want to redeem them for anything remotely worth having!!

Mr postman delivered 2 catalogues - chucked them unopened in the bin:j


Cooked a huge pot of spag bol which we had tonight and i have frozen the rest, a lasagne for tomorrow and made up enough jelly to do dessert for the next week :rotfl:


We wore out dressing gowns today instead of using the heating, kids had a pj day so snuggled up watching films most the day.
Hoping we will be owed gas and elec money - been so tight with it this past year!!

Today i cleared out every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen and totally `spring` cleaned EVERYTHING! Everything is all tidy and organised - Even made up a emergency power cut box with candles lighters and a torch WITH spare batteries!!:rotfl:I ended up with a black bag full of junk and 2 recycling bags of paper!!

Swagbucks issued me with another £10 paypal so now my paypal balance is £20.54p :j


I have a few things to sell on ebay and will try and get round to doing that soon aswell, i get put off of selling on there but needs must!

Hiya Pinky Glad to see you!!The cleaning jobs are a godsend my only issue is i`d rather of used them pennies to save but instead they are paying out for food and any things that need paying.
I hope that one day i will beable to put then pennies away and not need to touch them!

Today i find out i won the Cadburys festive hot chocolate competition in December :rotfl:Its a vintage poster and a selection of hot chocolates - not bad but out of ALL the comps i win it is never anything AMAZING haha!


Kids back to school today and i have started on sorting out upstairs, total declutter ready for some spring cleaning


ALMOST there to cash in my swagbucks for another £10 paypal - I LOVE that site!!

Well paypal is empty........cashed in another £10 yesterday though so will start again!

We had an oven fire LUCKILY i had contents insirance who were super and paid out and a new one arrived yesterday!
BUT i now owe my parents £100 - the access from insurance!


We literally have NO money now AND this months wages will be gone as it hits the bank as we have car tax aswell as £100 for mum (she is struggling financially now too).


I am really worried just when i thought everything was ok its not!


DH has to keep contacting his old bank regarding his loan, he opted to pay extra each month to get rid of it quicker but to continue with paying extra he has to call every 3 months. The amount owing now is 6k
Makes me feel really sick!!!!!!!!

Well I`m back after a long time away.
I really should stay at MSE its when I most feel motivated!!
There has been not much going on no good news or luck anyway

Not heard a thing from the PPI company........no news is good news?

We have been really struggling since I was last on here, we are going away for 5 days in May and literally are worried as we have no money at all, and with only one April`s payday to go and hardly a thing left once all outgoings are out were pretty much stuck!!

1st June I am going to start my saving again - This time I am focusing on my fixed savings account then it can`t be used or touched!!

I have had to return to MSE - I NEED to get sorted once and for all and this time i WILL not let anything stop me.

Its been a horrible year, i`ve been as low as low can be,and got myself into a lot of stupid debt!! YES catologues AGAIN ;(
Clothing was needed for the children, and we just had no free cash so it all started with one catalogue, then another and......yes another.
BUT nothing i can`t sort out IF i throw everything i can at them - yes them!!
There are multiple catalogues, 6 or more in total!

To some its a `small` amount of debt but for me its worrying, i dont work and DH has low wage which is also paying off his loan - another year and a half til its paid off.
Once his paid the outgoings his left with not a lot at all, and when i say not a lot its really not!

We need a new mattress and are currently both experiencing sleepless nights its that bad LOL!
We also need a new fridge freezer - ours is 15years old and playing up, we know the `end of its day` is coming sooner rather then later!!


SO for 2014:

1) NO holidays or breaks away!
2) NO catalogues AT ALL!
3) PAY off ALL the catalogues starting by minimum payments, once smaller ones are paid off (will take approx 3months) throw extra at the 2 bigger bills! AND CANCEL all accounts AGAIN!
I aim to have the catalogues paid off by at least July/August 2014, i really do hope its all gone by then.

I am still doing swagbucks and instead of cashing it in for £10 paypal i am just saving the swagbucks up for a larger amount which can then help me to pay off a chunk if needs be.

I am SO mad at myself but its been a real tough struggle.
We dont have credit cards and NO savings, nothing to sell for extra cash. So when we get stuck we really do get stuck.
DH also got hit with a HUGE car service bill and dental bill which hasnt helped the situation either ;(
