Had my normal `coffee shop` at home with my good friend today.
Was nice to have a chat and discuss life in general.

The children have spent the whole day playing with all the toys they could find together LOL! Tomorrow we are going to my parents for the day.
I have been decluttering and taken a good few black bags to the st clares hospice charity shop.
I no longer use ebay as the fees are so high and I begrudge paying them to end up with no a lot afterwards, and car boots are out of the question as I don`t drive and DH just don`t have time.

DH done his new gardening job today, and the lady was very pleased with the end result! She actually said she can now sit in her garden and enjoy it this year!!
He came home buzzing knowing he had made a 90 yr old very happy :)

I have only had 2 catalogue bills come through so far this month, I must make sure none have gone astray!!

I have a plan - should of done this way before!
I am going to Pay a large amount off the highest apr debt next month (this is the highest out of them all), then the min payment on the others.
Once that high one is paid off, I will do the same to the next highest and so on!!

Still not got anymore bills come through, I am going to sit down tomorrow evening and check online to see whats owing etc and make a note of when the amounts are due incase they have gone missing in the post. I tend to pay by cash so don`t pay online much.

I have my cleaning job tomorrow, my parents are having the children for me while I`m there!
I have my other cleaning job on Friday luckily the children can come with me for that one as they know the lady I clean for and she loves them to bits.

This way I feel it will pay up quicker and cost me less in the long run!
Its often tempting to pay off the smaller debts first to get rid of them wuickly - lesson learnt!

Well I`m poorly ;( OK not poorly but feeling sorry for myself!
I woke this morning with a sore ear, felt bruised and swollen inside.
Went to the drs and I have an inflamed ear canal ;(
His given me ear drops so hoping they work quickly.

I did my cleaning job today, have my other one tomorrow and had forgotten DH is off work so I wont have to take the children with me.

Still not had anymore bills come in, looking at my accounts they should come next week. I am going to pay them online on Tuesday incase I don't get them in the post.

    What a day

I had no sleep ALL night, my ear was pounding and so sore.
It seems worse when I use the ear drops.
ANYWAY got up at 6am was a relief to see daylight and all of a sudden I hear DH shouting for me!!
I ran downstairs to a FLOODED downstairs wc :(

Called the housing association and they said a plumber would be out within 6hrs. Bearing in mind the water was pouring out, we didn't know where from or why!!
DH took off the bath panel (main bathroom is above downstairs wc) and could see nothing.
Anyway housing lady said to turn off the stop valve AND it snapped WATER GUSHING OUT!!

We called housing back and spoke with a man who then tells us we have an outer stop valve - we didn't know this!

Anyway Plumber arrived after 5 hrs. We are left with a huge hole in the ceiling, and no stop valve as they had none.

Bonus is we didn't have to pay as its a HA home, downside our water metre must of been whizzing around :(

I have paid 2 of the `low` catalogues online just minimum payments - didn't receive anything in the post for these and payments were due mid meek next week.
Have 2 more which are high ones, 1 being high apr so will TRY and pay off £50 if I can.

Postman has just come......new debit card AND the high apr bill - 48.9!! IT MUST GO NOW!!!!

I have just added up the catalogue totals and now I owe £409.77!!
    ITS GOING DOWN!!
The lowest one is £23.93 - I`m going to pay that in full next month
Then I`ll only have 3 to pay each month :D

NOW the new debit card excites me:rotfl:
My other one was expiring may 2014 which gave me hope back then when I first got it, I remember saying when I get my next debit card that dreaded loan will only have a year left one it!!

NOW my debit card expires May 2017 - by then the loan will be old news :T

    Happy Easter all :)

Today we had DH`s mother and her long term partner visit for a couple of hours.
We haven't been in touch for many years, and have just recently started seeing them again. It was pleasant and actually nice for the children to see their grandmother!

We then went to my parents for a lovely roast and not long been back!

Today I have thought of nothing but `money`.
I have so many things going around in my head and yet again I`m hoping for things I know won`t happen.
A dream maybe, BUT I could try my best to achieve it :D

SO I have a Lloyds tsb current account.
An ISA (with Lloyds tsb) currently has £30.01 in it - poor I know!
And I have a Halifax current account which I only opened recently with £0 in it!
I have AA savers account fixed for 3 yrs which will close this August - sadly I didn't use this how I wanted too, so that was a complete waste - I only put about £40 into it I planned on saving a large amount over them 3 yrs ;(

I will put the money from the AA savers into my Lloyds ISA, and plan on adding to it as and when ONCE I am debtfree.

NOW My Halifax I am going to drip feed small amounts in to build up a emergency fund - we currently don`t have one!!
DH don`t know about this account as he would dip into it if he knew to use on petrol if he was low or other things that crop up before payday.

The children are back to school on Tuesday!
I managed to spend £0 during the easter holidays:beer:

My plans for Tuesday once I come home from the school run is -To sort out the box of paperwork - I HATE that job!!
I have some plastic folders and plan on having a folder for each thing so it will be easier to find and tidy!
Nothing worse then hunting through messing it all up :rotfl:
-Pay £50 off the High APR catalogue (online)
-Make a note of how much is left and when payments are due - so I don`t get hit with late payments!

I am feeling really confident I WILL be debtfree by July now, I see no reason not too IF I try hard and throw everything I can at it.

    Hiya,

It sounds like you are making great plans for the future and I agree that the best thing to do is to get rid of the one with the highest APR first. As long as you can continue to pay off the others with the minimal payment this should get them all done and dusted in the best way for you.

I get really impatient too so I can fully understand where you are coming from but you are doing great. We all fall off the wagon some time just in different ways. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Sorry to hear about the flood - maybe you could get a letter from the HA to explain about it to the water people???? Yes I am clutching at straws.

Well done on no spend over the Easter with the kids too though - impressive

    Take care xxx

    Thank you Magsnoodle :)
Impatience is horrendous, its that feeling of wanting that makes you start daydreaming and making plans you can`t yet do - its a killer.
I wish I could go back to when I was 18, I`d only change the money side of life!

I have emailed Thames water explaining the situation, if you don`t ask you don`t get right?!
I don`t think they can do anything, reading up online it seems if the leak is the water boards problem then you can be reimbursed.

I managed the last 6 week holiday on a £0 spend.
Once you hit week 3 its easier as kids know that's how it is by then, and don`t assume they will going places we just can`t afford!
Its amazing what you can do for free!
Luckily for me the school my children go too give them a scrap book to complete over the summer holidays, and a list to tick off and its ALL free activities so we mainly do the summer scrapbook which the children really enjoy.

I have friends who `appear` to spend £100`s each week, LEGOLAND one day, cinema the next, play centres, theme parks and so on, its just impossible!
I love the fact that WHEN we do go to a theme park or similar my children truly appreciate it and think they have struck gold:rotfl:

I have just this minute paid £50 off the HIGH APR catalogue :j
I owed £190 on that, so its come down a bit! UNTIL they bung on the interest - you forget that bit when your using these darn things!

    I`ve been busy so far.
Walked kids to school and walked back.
Done 2 loads of washing - shame it wont dry, its wet here today!
    Hoovered upstairs and downstairs
    cleaned main bathroom.
    (dusted and cleaned last night)

Just need to do the kitchen, and then I`m going to attack that paperwork box!

Its my childrens birthdays and I`m worrying about what to get and HOW I`m going to get it.
I know for one thing it WON`T be from a catalogue!:rotfl:

    *****************************************

I didn`t get to finish the paperwork, I`m going to do it tomorrow as I have nothing else to do nor anything planned.
I got as far as working out I have more junk in there then actual paperwork! I found pen lids, screws, screwdrivers and bottle tops!!
I had someone round doing a yearly house check and it disturbed me - How rude of them LOL!

Still buzzing from paying a chunk instead of a piece today :D

I finished the paperwork box - All neat and orderly now!
A lot in there was rubbish, how empty open envelopes get in there is beyond me as no paperwork was missing an envelope LOL!

I am starting to worry about my DD`s birthday.
I`ve literally bought a book and a dvd that's it so far! Not quite sure how I`m going to manage anything else and I only have 2 weeks:eek:

Swagbucks has been real slow lately :( I was on a roll with it too!
