Hi lovely,
Sorry I haven't been on for a while. You are doing brilliantly and so tenacious with it all. I know 2018 feels like a life time away but as you say at least the payments are manageable and affordable. You never know OH might have a LBM soon and then things will alter...
Hope your half term is going well although not sure what the weather is like your end.
Ireland is not the other end of the world and there can be some great deals depending on where your friend has moved to.
More hugs on the way ((((())))) xxxE.F. #38 240.55/1000 SPC8 #375

HelloLovely to hear form you.
Thank you! It sure feels a long time but it will soon be here, this year has flown by - almost June!!
Its been raining all week, today has been nice but I had my 2 cleaning jobs 9-12 and then 1-3 so didn't go anywhere today. The rain had just started aswell so I think tomorrow will be another rainy day!
My friend has gone to Belfast, she originally came from there and was here in London for her hubbys work.
I`m not sure what will happen in regards to us visiting, it would be just flights we need as we can stay with her. Oh and I need a passport as I have no other ID.
At the moment Skype and facebook is keeping us chatting daily.
I miss her terribly though.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Today was a dry sunny day so we went off to the cemetery - its a fair drive, not local.
We took drinks and lunch/snacks with us.
I did buy a bunch of roses £3 from morrisons, and 2 pot plants £2 each.
DH today commented how he`d love to live there, I let him continue to comment on how nice it was, and how shops were good all being in the same high street with easy access to buses - my cue to pipe up `well get saving so we can retire here one day` :rotfl:
I got no reply of course, but I got my sneaky thoughts in there while I had the opportunity.
I must drive him mad :beer:DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Checked through my 3 catalogue accounts and am pleased I now owe just £294.54 :j
cat 1 - £52.76
cat 2 - £105.18
cat 3 - £136.60
Hoping to pay a £50 off cat 2 in june - its the highest APR!
Not sure they will ALL be paid by end of July, BUT I`m going to try my very best to only owe VERY little.
Can not wait for the day they are paid and gone.
I will then have saving accounts to begin, so instead of cat 1 cat 2 etc it will be savings 1 savings 2 etc :rotfl:DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Well I don`t know whats wrong with me today but I feel like a completely different person right now.
I`m feeling like I did in 2010 when I was debtfree
I feel happy, full of energy and currently have nothing worrying me at all - even DH`s loan isn't grating on me :j
I am excited about saving, I keep wondering how much I`ll save and if I`ll ever reach a big milestone!
My aim is to set small goals, IF and when that is reached I`ll up the goal `abit`.
I woke up in a bright mood despite a sleepless night.
Its been a busy day, and I have another busy day planned for tomorrow!!
Today I xame back from the school run, opened the front door and was faced with catalogues on the door mat! (postman had come early!)
I couldn't tell you what ones they were because as usual I say aloud `more junk` and toss it in the recycling bin :j
I emptied DD`s bedroom - literally moved EVERYTHING out into DS`s room (except the bed frame and wardrobe which I moved from side to side).
I hovered it out, steamed the floors, cleaned skirting's, washed down the walls and door/frame.
Cleaned the window and frames, washed side curtains, bed canopy and bunting.
Then I put everything back in its place. Took me 2 1/2 hours and felt great to see it all done.
Tomorrow I will do DS`s room the same.
His room isn`t completely finished yet he still needs....
Blind
new Side curtains (black out preferably)
new bedding
feature wallpaper on one wall - his been asking for over a year now :rotfl:DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

DD is off school for the rest of the week. She is on antibiotics so its been a day on the sofa watching dvds for her - I should of joined her ::rotfl
I blitzed DS`s room so that's the kids rooms done!
Remarkably not 1 thing was found to be thrown/donated/recycled I`ve trained them well!!
I have just had a catalogue bill in £140.45 (interest bumped it up Grr!!)- NOW min payment is far too small to make a dent BUT the bill needs to be paid by the 16th, I don`t get my money until the 17th!!
SO I am going to have to pay as much as I can scrape together, then pay a bit more when I get my money!!
There is no way I will get the Three debts paid off by July now
SO my new aim......
cat 1 - £52.76 - This can be gone by end of July
cat 2 - £105.18 - This can be done by end of November
cat 3 - £140.48 - This can be done by end of NovemberDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Had the second catalogue bill arrive today £52.76
I`ve paid £20 off each one - better then just the £5 min payment!
The third catalogue bill will no doubt come tomorrow
This is what makes me realise it really isn`t worth using the catalogue's. Its nice getting what you need (I only ever used them for things I really needed) but its the paying back!!
I can`t wait for these last 3 debts to come back as £0 owing then I can close the accounts, and say goodbye for good!!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Postman walked straight by this morning
I`ve noticed I`m not getting a lot of the `other` catalogue stuff through now so it must already be thinning out.
It stated it would take 6weeks to stop all letters/catalogues after closing my account. I`m glad they have stopped, its a reminder of how stupid I was!!
DS brought home a letter saying in September he`ll be entitled to free school meals :j ALL children in reception, year 1 and year 2 will be entitled.
That's £10 a week I will save (for a school year anyway!)
I will have approx £100 a month to save, not a lot BUT that's £1200 a year :j
I`ve NEVER had that much money, let alone in savings!!
I have been lazy with swagbucks lately, The surveys bore me :rotfl: so must get back with that as I can easily get £10 a month from that - £120 a year!!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Joined gifthulk today not sure how I`ll get on with that, just trying to work out the site at the moment, but already have 483 HC and I`ve not done 1 survey yet!
I`ve just watched videos, and got 250 bonus for being referred by a kind swagger on `boost your income`
I`m going to keep going at it, I tried clixsense and got nowhere!!
Made an effort on swagbucks today aswell, currently on 896sb`s.
I used to easily make £10 a week if I tried, even £10 a month is £10 I didn't have!!
So I MUST keep going on there as its a easy pennies!!
Postman walked by the door again this morning, I`m not sure when that 3rd debt will come but its on its way.
I`m going to pay £50 off it this month, it feels so good doing that however hard it is to see £50 missing from the bank.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Still not had the 3rd bill come in, I have £50 cash sitting here waiting to pay it
Gifthulk I`m now nearing 700 HC`s still no surveys though, just getting rejected from them all and errors - could be I`ve done them on swagbucks.
I`m pleased though as that's just watching videos and searching!
Swagbucks I`m back on track and nearing £10 :j
I have been going through everything and can see I will beable to save £80 some months IF I can it will be fab and such a good amount for a non working mummy!!
I do have my cleaning jobs but to be honest I use that for the top up food shop.
I have started being really `tight` with the gas and electric :rotfl:
I`ve had my hot water on automatic for the last 5 yrs and only just realised its not necessary.
I`m not even sure if thats using gas I have no clue :rotfl:
I can only assume it does as the boiler fires up and I have had no heating on since Christmas, but used gas!
SO I have switched it off and just put it on for an hour before I need it.
Testing it its on for 30mins and there is enough hot water to do 3 baths and still water is hot.
I will see if it makes a different to the gas when I get the next bill!
The electric I have been turning everything off from the wall, and when I`m home all day I have the tv off and have nothing on at all - except hoover and washing machine of course!
The children have even been charging their tablets/3ds`s up at nan and granddads at weekends :rotfl: Teach them young!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
