To say I`m devastated is an understatement, my friend left yesterday and has now moved far away.
I am so sad, pleased for her as she is now back home with her friends and family, BUT I feel so lost.
I know it will get better in time, its still early days and I`m already worrying about the days ahead of not seeing her daily.
Anyhow I have paid this months payments - a bit extra on each but not a lot more as I bought leaving presents for my friend and her 3 children - They have been SO good to us so totally deserved it!
I now feel I NEED to get debtfree ASAP so I can start saving for a passport and money to go and visit them!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

DD had a lovely birthday, she got some money and some lovely presents!
BOTH my children put their birthday money into their sealed money jars - teaching them young does work LOL!
We had a new ceiling put in where we had the leak and the decorator is coming tomorrow to paint. I didn't realise they did this and told him I was happy to do it myself but he said no it was on his work sheet - so it was a nice bonus!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

My downstairs loo has been painted and looks fab.
Its a lighter colour but looks good.
I have had the catalogue bill (one with the highest APR) and its so nice to see it £50 less, I plan on doing the same this month - It will soon be gone, looking likely to be July.
I cut my thumb this morning was so painful, went to my local chemist and it cost me £4.60 for cream, tape and dressings!!
I must make up a first aid box, plasters wouldn't work well.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

It really is ;(
It took the top of my nail aswell and its so sore I can`t even file my nail down.
It feels fine once I`ve put germolene off but it wears off quite quickly.
And it is SO hard doing general things without my thumb, hoping it heals quickly!
DH has himself another gardening job which he did today.
He now has 5 gardening jobs, an evening job most nights and his FT job!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

I today felt so depressed thinking about all the wrongs we`ve made.
If I could go back to being 16 I wouldn`t change a thing BUT money!!
I wished I had saved, stopped the stupid spending, remained free from catologues and loans and just worked and lived properly!
DH could of been far better, his been SO stupid with money, his loan has literally wrecked the last 10yrs!!
Its all coming to an end, this time next year we will be `almost` totally debtfree BUT its too late for us. We will never own a home, nor will we ever get a mortgage to even attempt too.
Neither of us have insurance or a pension - That worries me no end!
My only hope now is that both of us start to be careful once we are debtfree and try to at least gather some savings to help us out in the years to come.
I`m so good at saving and want to save, DH has no interest and never gets that `omg we need to so something` urge!!
Once his loan clears he will be almost £200 a month better off, I`m now to try and convince him that that could well be perfect to save each month - its something his not had for 10years anyway so it wont be missed!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

My thumb has healed up already - germolene is a wonderful invention!!
I now have tendonitis though and am in agony, currently day 4 and its awful ;(
Paid £40 off the high APR catalogue today
Nothing to report to be honest, we are managing financially and doing good.
We now have the children off and so my half term no spend begins, DH has the week off aswell SO we will at least beable to visit FREE places and picnic in different places from where we normally go!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Well today we had a lovely day, roast beef dinner at my parents then a movie evening
DD and DS got some new release dvds for their birthdays so we watched those along with popcorn and icecream (we already had indoors) DH done the garden while we snuggled on the sofa LOL!
Tomorrow we are going to my parents for the day and having dinner, we`ve not yet planned what we are doing for the week off.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Today I had planned to go to Hadleigh for the day and visit my great grandparents grave and then on to visit my great aunts grave BUT the weather is awful
Its wet - actually pouring down, cold and windy SO we are snuggled on the sofa watching kids programmes instead.
Looking at my friends facebook updates they are opting for softplay centres, bowling, cinemas and other fancy days out which cost a fortune!!
It amazes me how people can do it! Some appear to do it almost everyday.
DH has just left for the bank. His going to find out how much he now owes on his loan AND when it finishes.
WELL not good news at all!
He still owes over 3k and they couldn't give him an end date he has to go in branch and use their phone to speak to someone about it and she said she couldn't get that info up (why I don`t know!)
Working it out it will be 2018
I`m so sad. I will be 35, DH will be 39 almost 40!
I actually feel sick. I had it written as 4th august 2015, gave me hope!
Looking back through old threads I`ve made I see I asked for advice back in 2010 and stated the loan finishes in 2018.
After sitting here thinking about it there is no way we can pay it off completely before then.
Even saving each month won`t work it will literally bring us close to 2018 by the time we can save that much!!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Feeling much better then I did yesterday.
Its horrible seeing 2018 now BUT the repayments are manageable and DH is happy - he is so laid back its unreal!!
I am totally focused on shifting these catalogue bills now.
They WILL be gone before I know it then I am going to start saving as hard as I can - I CAN`T WAIT!!
Even £10 a month is better then £0, I'm hoping to save as much as I can and however small it will soon mount up!
In July/August my 2yr fixed rate savings 3.80% will end, I will have approx £190 from that.
I am hoping to start another long term if I can find a good one using that as an initial deposit. If I can`t I will put it into my ISA.
My dream of owning a home is over, I`m gutted and feeling so annoyed with myself AND DH.
His not bothered at all, he lives day by day, I find it hard to do so!
So far my only hope of my happy ending is a lotto win and I don't even do the lotto, OR a time machine to go back 15yrs to start again financially LOL!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
