    Debt-free and Proud!
Today we had a housework and dvd day and the kids have loved it :rotfl:

DH came home from work and his moving to new workplace next may/june AND its not as far as first told!! SO its a big bonus as he wont be spending a fortune on petrol, downside no public transport can help out IF we have no car!
One downside is the pension he has will freeze, so he now has to set up a new one with the new company who are taking over!

I am "HOPEFULLY" paying off MY debts in August :j
I`m really hoping I can, I don`t see a reason why not right now!

So far we are still surviving on our no spend summer holiday :j
We have visited family, had picnics, gone to parks, played over the fields and walked round the lake feeding ducks, visited the library and done lots of things at home.

I have DH off for 2 week starting the 11th and one of them days we are meeting with a friend of mine who I`ve not seen for a year.
We are meeting her and her family at the princess Diana memorial park - we`ve never been before!
We will be taking a picnic with us, and will be going by train using our oysters.

I plan on taking the children to London for the day sight seeing, neither have been before despite us living right near on the doorstep. Again we will be taking our own food and drinks and of course a camera!!

I`m also hoping to take them to the Olympic park, it seems to be a hit with my friends right now!
Its not far from us so we can go by car or train.

SO HAPPY :j Just paid my last bill of 59.43p :D

    Today my debt is............ £0.00

I`m SO so so happy right now I could run around the street!!

    I AM DEBTFREE!!!!!!

SO now I can start to save!
My plan is little steps, once I hit the step I will up it a bit etc etc.

I have my savings that's closed from the AA fixed term account going in on Friday and I already have some money in there (which would of normally paid off the debts) so I`m really excited to already have a sum sitting there.
DH also cashed in his shares as his work are changing companies and he has gave me a bit.
Wasn`t a lot to be honest so it was kind of him to share it!

I woke up this morning feeling chuffed, it is already feeling a lot better knowing I haven't got to try and round up funds for the next bill!

The postman came today with junk mail :D
Such a wonderful feeling knowing when that letterbox goes now it WON`T be a debt!!
I used to walk through the hall with an eye closed :rotfl:

AND the best thing is I did my cleaning job this morning AND I didn't have to put the money towards a bill, its in my purse - I actually feel I have earnt money for the 1st time in years!!

Thank you Andrea! Its been a rollercoaster with a few bumps.
I am saving that's my aim now :D
An emergency fund - I`ve never had one!
And a general savings - at the moment I have no idea what for :rotfl:
    Its shooting up though :j

Today I put £36.41 into savings was change from the food shop, would of been spent on debt!

    Its been a good week.
DH is off so we went to a local farm with a picnic and spent all Monday there. Spent a total of £13 DH`s treat and he used the tips he got from work :money:

Yesterday we went to Princess dianas memorial playground with a picnic and had such a great day.
All it cost was £`s for our oysters (already have money on them in case of an emergency) again used DH`s money from his evening job.

I "think" the catalogues and offer letters have finally stopped coming :j
They said it would take 4-6 weeks but I`ve not had a thing for a while now.

Its lovely not seeing them on my doorstep, the postman hardly comes now as all my utility bills are all direct debit and paperless!

I had my cleaning jobs today and am putting that aside as we are hoping to go to London sightseeing on Tuesday weather permitting!

This morning we did the school uniform shop and it wasn`t as painful as I imagined!!

We got plimsolls from shoe zone currently on sale £1.99 each!

My mum got pencil cases, rucksacks and water bottles a few weeks back - all in the sale.

We went to Tesco where we had money off vouchers £2.50 off a £10 spend (school clothing only).
We got polo tops, skirts, trousers, pack a macs, socks/tights and coats - and used 3 of the vouchers 2 through self serve and 1 through main tills.

SO we have all the school stuff now all ready for September.

Next week is my last week with the children as I start jury service on the 26th.
Still hoping to go to London on Tuesday weather permitting!

I don`t really shop in Tesco (we don't have a local one) but we do one off random small shops there in passing.
We also collect clubcard points via Bzzagent and Orchard where you test things for free or for less.
My points are saved in Christmas savers (I double them up once I get them in November!).

After checking today I am a few pence short of £25 :j
SO will have £50 to spend for Christmas.

I have also some topcashback money to reach my account in September-December which will amount to £10.
Not much but better then nothing, i hardly ever shop online!

I have been quite lazy and not used swagbucks or the other mysurvey for just over a month now, I need to get back to that as its easy money and FREE!!

I need to get some savings coming from FREE stuff, even £10 a month is better then nothing.

I am totally addicted to saving right now, i`m even looking on the paths whilst out :rotfl:
