Our day in London was fantastic, we all came home with aching legs and I still have achy ankles!!
We didn't use our oyster cards as it was cheaper to get a travelcard after 9.30.
We took a picnic which we had along the thames just by the London eye!
We were very fortunate as the queens guards were changing over so we got to watch the parade amongst the HUGE crowds!!
The weather was fab and we saw so much in just one day.
Tomorrow we are driving to southend and spending the day there.
My jury service starts Tuesday - I`m so nervous and dreading day 1!!
I also feel terribly guilty leaving the children with a childminder, not helped that my DS wants me to take to school ;(DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

I received my passport last Weds and flights have been booked for Halloween!
I`m so nervous I have no idea what to do, never been to an airport in my life and am quite scared of flying!!
Not much happening financially, its all quiet no bills to be paid, no worries how I will find £10 etc for the next bill to fall on my doormat!
Its a wonderful feeling.
I`ve made a start on the Christmas shopping
Home bargains have a few great toys which are £10 cheaper then most stores.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Everything is wonderful right now!
STILL debtfree
I am loving the fact the postman only delivers leaflets and to the occupier now!
I have not put much into savings since I was last on BUT once Christmas is out of the way I will be putting regular amount in.
I`m currently concentrating on new clothing for us so any spare is buying winter clothes, and things for next summer.
I`m also getting bits and bobs for Christmas when I spot something at a good price.
Not long to go before we go on our first ever plane trip.
We have our cabin bags and are looking forward to it, albeit very nervous too!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

We came home from our trip to Ireland and it was such great fun!
The plane wasn`t as scary as we imagined and I`d definitely recommend a short plane trip if you`ve not air travelled before.
Moneywise we are still debtfree
It is so nice to not have anything hanging over us and we feel more confident now.
Hubby had an interesting thing happen. He claimed PPI from his loan last year and didn't get very much at all.
The company he did it with ended up taking more then us and when we called they said the amount we got was fine and that some had also been deducted from the loan his still paying off!
WELL nothing had come off the loan and we just left it............
UNTIL we got a call from a man who said the company had been fined for taking too much from claimants and a man came round last weekend to take details etc and copies of our paperwork.
It seems hubby may be owed some money back from the PPI company - Fingers crossed!
We got our Tesco Christmas savers vouchers though.
We don`t really use Tesco much as we don`t have one nearby, BUT I use Bzzagent and get clubcard points through that and we have £50 in vouchers (once doubled)
That's a good help for ChristmasDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

I`m still debtfree
Not heard anything from the PPI people...........
SO I have used some of the savings I put aside for Christmas and winter clothing/accessories.
The new year I will save and hopefully manage to save enough to finish this house once and for all!!

I just can`t get warm today!!
I can`t wait to get the children to bed then its a nice hot bath and onesie/fluffy slippers for me
I have had the heating on for an hour or 2 today and again this afternoon BUT it don`t stay warm for long.
I have draught excluders by the patio doors and front door, all blinds are down and side curtains drawn.
I am almost convinced we are losing heat from somewhere and can`t work out where!!
I spotted gritters while on the way home from the school run this afternoon, and it made me think its time to do my stock cupboard incase we do get snow, get ill, loss of income, can`t get out over the winter!
I`ve just got over flu and mild pneumonia so I`m hoping I don`t get ill but you never know.
I plan on getting tinned foods, dry foods and ensure we have the essentials to last a while.
DH found some battery operated lanterns which are fab!!
SO I now have them along with my powercut box - not that we have had a power cut but you never knowDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Hi Pinky! Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
I had a lovely Christmas at my parents.
Our tv decided to blow up on Christmas eve morning, Luckily for us I had my savings to fall on to replace it
Another reason why its so important to have something saved for an emergency - although a tv isn't an emergency it was at the time LOL!
I will be replacing that money on Monday when I get to the bank.
I feel like a completely different person, I`m so much happier.
I think 2015 will be a good one for me, although DH is in a worry as he needs to replace the car.
Lots wrong with it and it will fail the MOT. He needs it to get to and from work, plus he uses it for his evening job so can`t live without one!!DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

Well Happy new year (Better late then never!!)
January has whizzed by already about to welcome February!
Not much is happening, NO DEBT :j
I this week put £20 into savings acc1, hoping to do far better in February!!
Our car has been playing up and not starting, DH is hoping it is just a new battery needed.
It has a lot of other things that are not right and I know it will fail the MOT!! No idea what will happen then.....DH needs a car for workDebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
