Just do it the blokes way, explain that your drive home from work is the only time you get any me time so you would prefer not to give her a lift unless it was an emergency.
Trying to come up with various excuses that get more complicated over time and avoiding her will just leave her to sulk at you for months and start talking about you behind your back.
It is so much easier being a bloke where you can be upfront about things and you can resolve a matter in minutes rather than it stewing for months
