Well done!
I've got to emphasise that my original post wasn't some flippant "suppose this is ok value so I'll make a posting on the grabbit forum", but more a "I've researched this for months, looked at all the current offerings, prices & specs...this mops the floor with respect to what's out their at the current price level" perspective.0 -

As I pointed out earlier in the thread - if you go through quidco you will get £26 cashback - making it *cheaper* to buy from savastore.
PS: I'm positive about this deal Hank - I bought one from nicepc before I had time to work out the quidco/savastore savings.0 -

I considered the Pansonic PX60 series...but I don't like the aesthetics (I want my plasma to look as minimalist as possible - I'm just using it as a display & don't need speakers), but more importantly, I don't want any cooling fans whirring. Some users of the 37" particularly complain they can hear fan whine - therefore it was struck off my shortlist. (as an aside, some other users complain of green streaking on the Panasonic PX60 some scenes...so even the higher cost plasmas aren't without issue!).
Thie Fujitsu Siemens is passively cooled & therefore totally silent.
The £300 that remains in my back pocket over the Panny is useful too!0 -

1-2 weeks now according to the web page0 -
am I imagining things, or did I read somewhere that Savastore were delivering for freeTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

I read somewhere that the units Nice PC have are the latest model, which has the new HD digital scart connector, whereas the current/previous model has only got the DVi style like on a PC.
I think it is worth checking before placing the order at any other store! If they don't know, beware. Many people have knowledge, only the wise know how to apply it. You must try to soar like an eagle, even when surrounded by turkies. (.Y.)0 -
I don't know about Savastore, but Nice PC were orinally selling an older screen (P42-2H) which I initially ordered....before they delivered, I noticed that the link I'd used was pointing to a different model....a quick scan of the datasheets showed the new one Nice-PC had on their site (PQ42-1) to be a much better specification...it's the PQ42-1 you should order - any other 42" Fujitsu-Siemens Plasma model shown that isn't the PQ42-1 is older & should be avoided.
Update: Just checked Savastore....they are showing the PQ42-1 (new model) here...

....but like Nice PC website, the picture they've used is actually an older model the P42-2H! The older model is actually sleeker with a thinner bezel. Here are some photos of the older model....

I've got a cheapo Wharfedale 32" CRT, it was 200 quid from Tesco's 7 years ago, still works great.
If we fancy watching in 'High Definition' we get the Mr Sheen out and wipe the dust of the screen.
I hope to god it keeps on going for a while because this whole; is it a good buy? is it really a good make? is it really HD? is confusing the hell out of me!!!!!!!!0
