    Bank: Natwest
    Reclaimed: £2610.50
Paid: £3310.13 including interest and court fee

Started the claim for £2610.50 in mid August. Got various offers through the process (£264 after first letter, £1300 after the second letter, £1700 once the claim was first issued in court). All the offers had conditions attached and were refused. Cobbetts (Natwest solicitors) tried it on a few times, but we carried on with the claim. Got as far as filling in the allocation questionnaire a few days ago. A cheque for the full amount of the claim arrived this morning with no conditions attached.

    Bank. Woolwich
    amount claimed £1142
amount offered £180 (This is the amount that falls within the 6 year rule. The rest was at the beginning of 2000 and just outside the limit)

Used the letter template on this site. Had a courtesy letter within a few days and above offer a week later. Not sure whether to accept yet as we feel that we should be reimbursed for all the money as it was taken illegally??? Will look for advice on the discussion board.

    Thanks to Martin for everything.

Simple question, is there any preference/rule as to what address to use for
the Defendant (ie bank / building society) when putting in a Money Claim Online?
Should it be the branch address at which you bank OR
Should it be the registered office OR
    anything else?

It is very important you use the registered address of the bank when you issue a court claim. See THIS THREAD post #3 for the registered names/addresses of the banks.

  • Hi everyone,
I have sent the letter to abbey requesting my bank statements, of which I have received 4 statements and the rest a long list of photocopies, which after looking through them, they are not even my bank statements, god only knows whose they are! The 40 days were up on the 12th Dec. Do I need to contact them requesting my statements and explaining their mistake or just proceed to the 2nd letter? I have statements of my own from Dec 02- Feb 06 and I was just wondering whether I should just claim the charges from the statements that I have or wait till I have received all of them. any advise would be greatly received.

Go to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk Join the forum (it's free, the same as this site). When you are in the forum, on the main page go to 'Bank Templates Library', then scroll down and you will see 'Allocation Questionnaires- A guide to completion'.

This contains a step by step guide to filling in the allocation questionnaire.
