I would go ahead with the next letter - always stick to your timescales ;)

After 6 weeks of letter ping-pong they finally relented today! It really took a lot of persistence, but it paid off!

Welcome to anyone coming to this brand new board after reading Martin's updated article on the Main Site :D

To any users who haven't had an answer to their question on the old discussion thread please feel free to place it here and hopefully someone will have an answer for you.

If you want to ask a question about a specific bank please check the boards to see if you can find a dedicated thread to your bank and pop your question on there.

Don't forget to put your Success story on this thread when you complete your claim and good luck. :)

The Letter Before Action template on here now states 14 days.

It never hurts to err on the side of caution. I hadnt checked and went on posts in other threads.

I shall forthwith state imperiously that 14 days must be observed as per the template in the article so thanks for that :):p

    Hi,

I cant seem to access the details of where to send my second letter to Natwest Bank, any help please?

    Thanks

The address to send claim letters for NatWest is:

    Customer Relations
    Ground Floor
    National Westminster House
    225 Shenley Road
    Borehamwood
    WD6 1TE

ALL claim requests will be forwarded here, no matter where you intially send them, so cut out the middleman!

    Regards

Yes because I informed them that their timelines were incorrect.

As did Bookworm and others. All input is gratefully received by everyone on the forum and thanks to Martin for the update.

after several letters and phone calls since nov i am taking natwest to court can any one tell me can i add any more charges that i have onto the final letter and also can i readjust my interest to the date i start court proceedings many thanks

According to advice on this site the general consensus is that the amount you claim at court stage is 6 years back from that date. You can add any additional charges incurred since the claim began and adjust interest up to the court date.

    Good luck :)
  • Bank: HSBC
    Claimed £3157.56 (including interest)
Awarded: £2399 - the total amount of charges

No messing - offered after one acknowledgement letter and a 4 week holding letter and then an offer of all charges but not the interest...funnily wnough I was more than happy.

Looks likes HSBC are now using a standard letter of sending the charges back on a purely commercial basis - it did make me chuckle and brightened up my rather hungover day yesterday

Just waiting for my girlfriends letter to come back now and it will, hopefully be happy days all round!!
