e2save problem (merged threads)

I have a cashback offer with E2save and I'm now somewhat concerned because I sent my claim via special delivery a week ago and the Royal Mail website has said the following on every day since:
Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery.
We can confirm that your item left the delivery office this morning and should arrive shortly if it hasn’t been delivered already.
Has anyone else experienced this before? Also, how long does it normally take e2save to send a text to acknowledge receipt of claims on pricematch deals?
Thanks.0 -
Yes. It's RM, not E2Save (fair's fair!). RM is as bad as E2Save. If you call them up (RM) they will send you a signed confirmation of receipt. Alternatively, let it ride until the cheque arrives - I doubt this particular thing will be the one which you will actually potentially fall foul of and you can always get the signature from RM later.0

It regularly happens - because they get so many items to be signed for, they do them in bulk, and RM take ages to update their site with bulk items.
A Royal Mail office in Stoke deals with the updating of the tracking system for bulk deliveries.
RM don't count the item as lost until 15 working days have elapsed, so by then the site should be updated.0 -
Hello all,
I thought i'd post my recent experience with e2save and the virgin contracts fiasco.
I took out a 12 month £20/month virgin contract via thephonespot (aka e2save) for my wife in March. It was a 12 month free line rental deal and main points of the cashback terms were:- Claims at month 6, 8, 10 and 12.
- Month of purchase was considered month 1 according the the cashback table.
- Also the cashback terms stated a 45 day window (which was reduced to a 30 day window April onwards).
Our second claim in month 7 (October) was sent, received and received a letter stating too early (last week Thursday). I wrote a LBA detailing why I thought they were wrong in their decision and also included a copy of the original terms. I faxed this to the cpw legal dept and to osps as well as emails, with the intention of following up with a posted version.
Received a call today from cpw stating they were unsure of the reason for rejection but as a goodwill gesture will raise a cheque for the total remaining amount (£180), she left her name and number in case of any further problems. Thank you cpw, this will save me going through this process twice more! Assuming we get the cheque.
If it helps anyone else who took out a 12 month contract in March, and needs an electronic copy of the terms and conditions download here otherwise please do PM me.

Edit: On a side note, a cpw claim I sent to dunstable was (after 3 weeks) received in southampton. If you're still sending to dunstable it might go on a very long trip before it reaches crewe (where I think the e2save deals are supposed to go now I think).ummm...0 -
I am trying to get some clarification on the Price Match Cashback.
I have taken out multiple phones with e2save over the years and never had a single problem with cashback.
This time I took out one of the 'Price Match' Cashback offers, which have different terms.
My order was placed and connection took place on 10th August 2007, and my first bill was dated 21st August 2007.
Am I correct in thinking that as I need to send the bill showing 120 days of connection, it would be the bill on or around 8th December ?? (120 days from connection).
If this is the case, would it be the most recent bill received as of this date, or would I wait until the next bill is produced (on 21st December), and then send that one ??
Can anyone confirm ?
Thanks

I am coming up to the date for my first e2save cashback claim. The claim form asks for the "Transaction Number".
There is a number labelled "Transaction" on the printed sales invoice I received with the phone. However I also received a "Unique Order Reference Number" on screen and by email after I completed the purchase.
Can anyone here confirm which is the correct number to use?
regards,

Thank you.
After reading up on how e2save have degenerated over the last few months, I'm steeling myself for a fight and don't want to put a foot wrong.0 -
Even if you don't there's a chance you'll get declined because of the way they are working. However, since they "tinker" with both the written and unwritten t&c almost every day on various types of contract it's hard to keep up. Don't play their game; play yours. Stick with the written t&c you signed up to at the time if you copied them (in full). Watch this space... I've been expecting all hell to break loose and am a bit surprised it hasn't by now - despite the prelimanry skirmishes on other less predictable matters! The form SAYS "transaction number" so that is what you put - then they can't argue in a court of law and get away with it. It's also historical; the old Onestopphoneshop lot now do the "processing" and that's the way they used to work. They take sod all notice of the legal t&c either - or on existing contracts with E2Save the way THEY always worked. However, when their bluff is called they do reluctanctly concede "as a gesture of goodwill" - something they are losing every day by the ton!0

First claim sent off Monday 12th, received according to RM on Tuesday 13th.
Connected July 12th
Bill sent November 12th
Bill dated 21st October
All being well cashback should be received before Crimbo - fingers crossed.
Good luck to all.
