Oooh, I've got that one to read too. I bought it on holiday from a little outlet that sells fire damaged stock for 1/4 of the RRP.

ooops, just admitted to buying another book :o

Umm which reminds me...although I used a free voucher I did buy Twenties Girl and a Time Travellers Guide to the Middle Ages for £3. No excuse and what's even worse I've got some stuff to drop off at the local charity shop which I'm sure will end up with me picking up an 80p book!!!! And I've run out of bookcase space again

Elfen - thanks for the comments re Wolf Hall, looking forward to reading it.

Observer - managed to get Change of Heart via Read It Swap It, so it's on its way!

Finished "The Very Thought of You" by Rosie Alison. Didnt really enjoy it actually, it certainly didnt live up to the blurb on the cover. Thankfully it was a library book so I didnt spend any money on it!
    Feel a bit let down!

Reading The Return Journey , short stories by Maeve Binchy, nice and easy for the train to/from work, then I'll start Wolf Hall at the weekend.

Managed to finish Twenties Girl early this morning very enjoyable, but I really shouldn't gobble my fiction books!

Am currently reading Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada and Michael Hofmann, am not very far into it really just getting characters established but keeping me entertained, especially as it's based on a real story.
I have 4 books set aside for my jolly holidays next month
Tori Spelling's Mommywood (i know trashy reading but it's allowed on holiday :))
Sheridan Hay's The secret of lost things
    Audrey Niffenegger's Her fearful symmetry
and finally Ali SHaw's The girl with glass feet
Quite a mix so should be kept busy :j

Have finally finished Anna Karenina, not that its new, just that I've had it for years and not read it.

So still not actually bought any books. My new job is near a big central library so may go and investigate that one lunchtime.

My son bought me Book 12 of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan on pre-order so I have that to look forward to in October, in the meantime, after the heavy duty Russian stuff, will probably read some 'chick lit'

Well 2 books dropped off at the charity shop and a Ben Elton one bought, it's an improvement I suppose!

Glad to see I'm not the only one still doing this! I've just read Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively but didn't really enjoy it aside from the odd exceptional passage. I don't enjoy books whose main character I don't like. Onto Dewey the Small Town LIbrary Cat that Changed the World now - it's easy reading if a bit bland. So that brought my total read to more than my total unread ... but today I've swapped two books on ReaditSwapit so when they arrive that'll ruin my numbers again! One of them has been on my Amazon wishlist for ever though so I'm chuffed!
