The Jurassic Parks are very good - and the second one is significantly better than the film. Check them out if you get the chance.

My hubby has another called "Prey". State of Fear is about global warming debate, so it might just be that I'm interested in that:) Enjoying it though, can't wait to go to bed so I can read it:p

    Happy Reading

Well Ive finally finished "The Missing" by Jane Casey and it was Ok towards the end and Im glad I persevered with it. I forgot to mention yesterday that Ive also managed to read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and really enjoyed it (so much so Ive requested the next two from the library). Ive now started "The Importance of Being Kennedy" - thanks to whoever recommended it.

It was me! I hope you enjoy it!

I quite fancy "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", I might request that from the library. I've seen it loads and I dont know why I've not read it yet!
Finished Midwives by Chris Bohjalian, a bit tedious and didnt live up to the blurb on the cover so :T:T only.
Also finished The Calligrapher's Daughter which I quite enjoyed.

Currently reading : The Ice Cream Girls by Dorothy Koomson and thoroughly enjoying!

Despite the fact that I haven't quite finished 'La Dame aux Camelias' or 'Of Mice and Men' I've just picked up Chris Evans' autobiography from the library, and have launched into that. It's really, really good: this could get read very quickly.

Still, as I said, so far so good. Will let you know how the rest goes.

The title of this thread caught my eye as i'm a serial bookaholic buyer....currently in the process of moving and cleared out 500+ books (gave them to charity) so am hoping no one minds me joining the thread!

Went out at dinner and bought three from Waterstones (3 for 2) :o - although i've got to say i'm shocked by how much the rrp is for books (6.99-8.99) - though the ones that i really wanted to get (Picture Perfect by Jodi Pucoult and the Ice Cream Girls by Dorothy Koomson) were both 13 each!!
Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos

    Crumbs, that is a lot!

And pull up your reading chair: why on earth would we mind another bookaholic joining the literate flock?! You are most warmly welcome. :D

so can i ask ... what are you doing to combat this addiction?

i was thinking of trying the library again ... but whilst i love and adore libraries the smell ... walking around them the silence etc .... actually taking books out to read from one sends me into panic mode ... i have figured out this stems from when i was a kid (doesnt it always) and the library was a santuary for me ... but i used to get books out and pages would be missing or stuck together with chewing gum ... or dog eared (that fair annoys me that does) or chocolate etc spilled on it ...

it got to the stage (and as i started to earn money) i started buying books and it just hasnt stopped

Try the library van again, think you might find adults are a bit less messy when reading :D
