Seems like a lot of us seem to have a recipe book addition too. I've got loads but seem to use the same old favourites. I must try some new recipes over the next few weeks - that'd almost be meal planning! Right off to read the lady in the tower.

 I feel a bit victimised here, especially as mine are Reference Books and don't even count! (They're on a different shelf) :D

Aw, sorry if I made you feel bad: it's all said with a winky smiley. :) I promise to report if I have any slip-ups and you can be the first to tell me off. :D;)

I haven't had any slip ups! Mainly cos I booked a holiday to Venice and decided to put my book money into that instead. Yes, I was that bad!

You've all reminded me though that me and my sister went on a big charity shop recipe book spree a while back and she's got all the books, so I need to get some back off her.

I've just tried to find my copy of Midnight's Children for my book club but it's nowhere to be found. I knew I should have been putting my books in some kind of order on the shelves!

Just out of interest, does anyone else use bookcases instead of other furniture? I've got one at the side of my sofa, it's' just the right height for a side table, and I'm planning to get another small one for the other side. I have a row of small bookcases in the hallway isntead of a table or something to put the post on too. Am I obsessed or just space saving?!

That sounds like space saving. Like the idea of a small bookcase at the end of the sofa.

Got a longish bus ride today so will remember my book. Unfortunately I have to visit some charity shops ...must avoid the bookshelves!

Woke up at silly o'clock, decided to pick up my book, and we all know how fateful that is. Just one more chapter...before I know it it's 8.30am and Tesco's are due, dog has legs crossed, kids think chocolate digestives will do for breakfast.

Anyway caught up now. Am reading 'One Day', wasn't too smitten with it to begin with but am really enjoying it now.

I must confess I bought two books on GreenMetropolis. I enjoyed my Steven Saylor books so much that I had to buy the two collections of short stories based on the same character. :o

Finished The Associate John Grisham and have started Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol
which my hubby got from his sister for Christmas. So very money-saving as it's being read twice;)....

I can happily report that I have bought no books this week:T

My little "to read" notebook is filling up nicely thanks to all the recommendations on here. Ive got them reserved at the library so No Spend!
Just finished The Importance of Being Kennedy by Laurie Graham - really enjoyed that, just started Silver Moon by JoJo Moyes.

Loving the book smilies - have a lovely day all!

I stayed up till 3am reading Dan Brown's Digital Fortress last night, but was very disappointed with it. At least my reading block seems to be over!
