YOU CHEAT! :rotfl:
Hmm...these little guys might become the thread mascots.
Here he is again for those of you who missed him the first times...
I have just finished reading 'Song yet sung' by James McBride, which was a Christmas present. I've never read any of his stuff before.
I also confess to buying 2 books yesterday  but in my defense, they were charity shop buys. I took 10 books in and felt guilty walking out empty handed.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I know!!
I also had coffee with a friend of Mum's today and she has a system for deciding what book to read next. She has them all on bookshelves and will give her OH a number between 1 and 6, which is the shelf. He then tells her to pick a number according to how many books on the shelf. And that's only for one bookcase, He decides which bookcase to pick from.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

 I feel a bit victimised here, especially as mine are Reference Books and don't even count! (They're on a different shelf)
Another chapter down in The Subtle Knife last nightWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Don't take it personally, everyone's just jealous of your cunning loophole!
I guess I should also confess that I bought a book (just the one, mind) last weekend, but can offer the following justifications:
1) It was a super bargain (£25 to £7.50)
2) It was 'reference'
3) The recipes are really yummy!
I'm also trying to start The Children's Book for impending book club, and that's a big b*ggerLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Yup, we're beyond hopeless! But it's quite fun trying
It's Rachel Allen's Home-something - gosh, it's bad that I can't even remember what it's called! I was seduced by the lovely matt paper!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Oh I saw it in WH Smith yesterday, I was mooching as I have a £5 off when you buy a book for more than £10 voucher, I was looking for a £10 book that I could get for a fiver but they're all either £9.99 or £16.99
I really fancy her Bake one too...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Had to go to London with work on Monday and read my book all the way there and all the way back (6 hours total) and am now nearly though it (The Subtle Knife) - I'm totally hooked, all I needed was a good stab at it (arf!) rather than trying to read it half a chapter at a time and falling asleep with it.
I love this book smiley so much I'm putting it in my post as well:
Dont you think you deserve a "reference" book after ploughing through the Subtle Knife? heehee!
I LOVE that smiley - where do you get all these lovely ones, and how do you attach them? - technophobe here!
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0
