hi got a bit delayed with my reading plan because I have been studying for my UK citizenship test (passed) so can get on with it now.
Looking forward to working my way through that mountain of books I seem to have collected over the years.

Thanks Mrs Moneypenny. I was late coming to appreciate HP and only just caught up as the last book was released. I've seen all the films several times, but there's so much in the books that gets missed out so thought I'd read them all again.*2014 £365/365days - £52/£365* *20p Savers club #17 £12.00/£50*

Hello everyone
Well, I'll put my hands up to buying six Kindle books this month - all Daily Deals or other offers, so I've only spent about £6
There were all books I really would like to read - either authors that I've previously enjoyed or subjects that I know I really like.
I've been reading my recent purchases too, and have been getting a lot of enjoyment out of them.
I've been thinking, my Kindle books that remain unread for quite a long time are probably languishing on the virtual shelf for a reason - that I just don't really fancy them that much! There are so many good books out there that I would love to read, I don't really want to waste valuable reading time, just going through the motions reading something that doesn't grab me.
So I'm adapting the rules of this challenge for me - only download books I know I'll love ( doing that already) and read ONE per month from my Kindle book stash.
Therefore I will be reducing the stash....but at a very slow rate! :rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014

I have had a book of short stories - Earthquake Weather and other stories by Catherine Ryan Hyde - started for ages so I thought I'd try and finish the book this month and get another one ticked off the tbr pile. Its a good book to read when I only have 10 mins free so I am progressing with it fairly quickly. No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

just finished the light between oceans by M L Stedman, what a beautiful book and moving well written story!
A young married couple live together in a lighthouse on janus rock of the edge of Australia in the late 1920s. After suffering the most recent of 3 miscarriages a small rowing boat washes up on the beach containing the body of a man and a young crying baby. persuading her husband that it is a sign the baby is for them they take it as their own and give the man a decent but secret burial. However the lighthouse keepers sense of doing the right thing is overwhelming so can his guilt at not being honest and reporting what happened allow him to keep his wife happy and the child he grows to adore as his daughter.
i wont spoil this by telling you how it pans out but i thoroughly recommend it if you get the chance to read it.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi All,
Good news: yet another month where I haven't spent and money on books!
Howver, I was given 2 books for free on WOrld Book day and found other 'unreads' lurking at home.
But I updated my lists and signature so I'm at least starting April with an honest 'big picture'!!
STILL reading Robert Peston's book but had no time to read properly over the last few days - hoping to get stuck into it again tonight.
It's an absolutely brilliant book and continues to make my jaw drop.2014 Frugal Living Challenge
