FrugalinShropshire wrote: »Good morning. I would love to be part of this challenge. I moved house last June and brought the equivalent of a small library of books with me, many of them unread. DS also has many books that I would love to read so I won't go short. We also have a fab library in town for any new books that take my fancy.
Currently quarter way through Wild Mountain Thyme by Rosamunde Pilcher, which was in their 3 for £5 a few weeks ago.
 to FrugalinShropshire from another Shropshire gal.
I have finished Redbreast by Jo Nesbo and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I did struggle a bit sorting out the characters from the WW2 period and the story line "present" Now reading Chocolat and loving it.
A couple of naughty purchases of Short History of Tractors in Ukranian and another Henning Mankell:(:( I now have at least 18 unread. There are 3 I have read, but cannot consign them to SC yet as OH has said that he wants to read them first, bookshelves are groaning:eek:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. This sounds like one to add to my already massive list...0 -
finished Mia Dolans book this morning as i couldnt put it down so i read that in a day.
wasnt perhaps my usual read - i find psychics really interesting and have an open mind as to their powers (ive never actually visited one or been to any kind of meeting) it was a book my mum had read and passed on to me. it was an open honest and very frank telling by mia of her life and how she learned she had powers and the way she 'meet her guide Eric who helped her use them. She was very open and detailed in the pain and trauma she has faced in her life so at times it was difficult and uncomfortable. but its written in a way that comes across as this is an account of me and what happens you can choose to believe, she doesnt ram it down your throat or come across as selling herself.
picked a Kate Morton of the TBR shelf for next read called The distant Hours.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all,
Quick update from me: I'm loving Robert Peston's 'How Do We Fix This Mess?' and highly recommend it to anyone who, like me, needs to get their heads around the ins and outs of the financial mess currently going on world-wide!2014 Frugal Living Challenge

Finished Chocolat at some ungodly hour of the early morning and that coupled with peeling and chopping a pile of onions for the slow cooker means my eyes are totally wrecked this afternoon:(
Loved the book and it is now ready to go into the CS bag. Next up either the second Jo Nesbo or A short History of Tractors in Ukranian, the latter I think. I will probably annoy OH laughing out loud, but he will survive;)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
