Stephen king has always appealed to me but I've never tried any (probably too concerned by the way it may change the films for me)

I normally hate adaptations. I read the book before I knew it was being made into a film. I went and saw it at the cinema and cried from 10 minutes into the film until the end as the characters were so perfect and I knew what was going to happen. I don't think they could have done it any better.
  • Current reading is scrapped, as have been invited to an interview at uni for Midwifery course next week.
Been to library and got some books to research topics for interview, so need to get through them before next Wednesday!

    Getting into Nursing and Midwifery
    The Day-By-Day Pregnancy Book
    One Born Every Minute
    Midwife on Call
    Successful Breastfeeding

Also took out a book for fun reading: Virals - Kathy Reichs

And also some book INs to declare, bought for me by my bf...so not so bad as not my own money, but still!! Just means more books to add to my list:
The Edge of Always - J.A. Redmerski (author going to an event I'm going to in July, so needed this to get it signed)
    Jodi Picoult - The Storyteller
  • Best of luck for your interview pinkstars!! xx

  • There are loads of Enid Blyton books squirrelled away in the loft which I'll have to root out and read. We loved famous five and secret seven as kids and my first experience was my dad reading his old five find outers books to me as bedtime stories. We even made our own secret club (just me and my brother) in a cardboard box den in the garage!

  • St Clare's!! I loved Carlotta and Janet the best!! Enid Blyton had more influence over my love of reading than any other author.

Also loved the Galliano circus stories.

Oh cool, I was never read to as a child but I used to read aloud to anyone who would listen. Loved naughtiest girl at school. Remember going on a trip when I was 10 and I pretended I was at Malory towers; best midnight feast ever :) lol. My mums ceiling sinking is probably down to the books hidden away in the loft.... Oops

    Thank you!
It may well be, I've never read any of her books before but have seen this one around a lot. It's the first book in her YA series, about a group of teens who are exposed to a virus and their senses and reflexes are heightened....a bit superman-y to me. But I keep hearing good things about it, so since it came from the library I won't feel so bad about returning it unread if I don't like it.

Kr wrote it with her son and just saw it features bones great niece.... Have you ever watched bones? The first couple of seasons got to character down to the t. Awesome reads kr. I have read most of the bones series; but it does get quite samey. Looking forward to how it reads :)

Decided to start a book sharing club at work. In my line of work colleagues are rarely seen but we have a base where I am trying to get others to share books... Hope it works
