Finished Deadly Sting (Elemental Assassin #8) - have promised myself I can get it after I have finished another 5 books. I think thats a really good deal lol!
    .

I'm struggling with 'Gingerbread House'. Only read 30pages so hoping it's just a slow starter.... I did buy 'The Man Who Broke into Auschwitz' yesterday but that was a pricing opportunity (got it for £1 cheapest I have ever seen)... I have a series of books I've gotta read before I'm allowed anywhere near a bookshop :D

Saying that my friend kept putting books in my basket this morning, I was able to take them out and keep walking (even though a couple were ones I want to read)

  • I finished Me before you by Jojo Moyes this afternoon, have to admit I'm a little bit disappointed with it.
I did shed a tear at the end but I feel that Jojo Moyes has taken on a very controversial subject and hasn't done it justice. I would of expected this book to take me on emotional roller coaster, I would of liked it to have really made me think about my own beliefs on the subject and to question my own beliefs. I would of liked to have gotten inside the heads of the characters to of seen each characters side of the story but I didn't. I think maybe this was because I don't feel that the author showed enough of the
characters emotions and they were lacking passion.
Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the book but I just feel it could of been written better.

I think I'm going to start a Jodi Picoult next. But which one? I have a few on the to read pile.

Golly, I have never come across anyone else who has read Lisa Gardner.... so all my reader friends got one of her books last Christmas :) Could you let me know how Touch & Go is please; it's one of the books I was really wanting to buy last week. It can be my treat when I've read the pile next to my bed

So I finished this last night and I thought it was really good! I got it in Sainsburys on special offer last month so you never know it might still be cheap if you decide to get it...

I'm starting Stephen King's The Green Mile tomorrow - I have read it before (although I think it's about 16 years ago now) and bought it second hand a couple of months ago to read again.
  • Reached (Matched #3) - Ally Condie

I bought this for my cousin at Christmas, how did you find it? I've put it on my Possible Reads list @ Goodreads, so I hope to read it one day after my collection is finished. Do others have this problem of buying books for others that they want to read?!

The Curious Incident of the dog in the Night-time - Mark Haddon
When God Was a Rabbit - Sarah Winman
Have read both of these and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Hope you do too, when you get to them. :)

I'm here a bit earlier than usual, as I won't be able to update tomorrow, as usual. I've had a great book reading week, with Legendary Girlfriend finished on Thursday (staying up late to do so, but not 6am!)
Started and finished The Bumper Book of Simon's Cat on Friday's lunchtime, well it is only cartoons...
Started The Prisoner of Zenda, by Anthony Hope. Another Classic Adventure book. I'm now two books ahead for my 2014 reading challenge.

Right!! Here We Go! Game On!

Have counted and sorted through unread books, put them into categories and am owning up to it here! Some of these I've started or read part of them - but no matter, want to go back to the beginning with all of them. Will post different categories separately so I know where I am. If anyone has read any of these, your thoughts are most appreciated!

    Classic Fiction

[STRIKE]A Month In the Country - JL Carr[/STRIKE]
Chronicles of Narnia (full set) - CS Lewis - Read!
    Grimms Fairy Tales (full set)
House of Mirth - Edith Wharton
    Brideshead Revisited - Evelyn Waugh
Emma - Jane Austen - Read
    Pride & Prejudice - Ditto
    Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens
    Great Expectations - Ditto
    [STRIKE]Lolly Willowes - Sylvia Townsend Warner[/STRIKE]

    I'm saying [STRIKE]9[/STRIKE] 9 unread books here - counting Narnia as 1!!!
