I have two new INs: 'Standing in Another Man's Grave' by Ian Rankin and 'Dodger' by Terry Pratchett. And I don't feel guilty at all. Well, a bit, as I have had a massive sort out of books for Ebaying/charity shopping/otherwise disposing of. I'm just about to take a pile round to a friend's house for her to choose what she wants to select out of them. I'll see what's left...

...Blimey, if seems like I might finally be decluttering after all!!!

  • I only got one book for christmas but I also got £15 book voucher. I seem to be borrowing books at the moment so my to read pile isn't going down but on the plus side its not costing me anything.

Need to think about my goodreads 2013 challenge figure, do i aim high to try and spur me on or go for a more realistic target?? such decisions!

    Oh. My. Word.

I just took two huge bags of books round to a friend's house for her to sort throught the ones she would like to take home with her and read and she has just said that she would take the lot to share between her, her mum and her sister! Don't get me wrong, I had to start cleaning out the middle bedroom today and they were either in the 'Ebay' or 'charity shop' pile, but I wasn't expecting that so I'm currently feeling a cross between shocked and bereaved!

I'm waiting for the feel-good endorphines to kick in. *Waits patiently*

  • Haven't read anything over Christmas period :(. Poor effort - so a renewed effort for the new year. Going to go through my library books and make sure i want to read them all still and then count up the books i have that are still unread.

Got a few new ones for Christmas. The 5th Gallagher Girls book, Portia De Rossi's autobiography - Unbearable Lightness, and a Matt Haig book - The Dead Fathers Club.

I also borrowed a few off my Godmother - one of which she said everybody that had read it loved it so I'm looking forward to that - can't remember what its called though!

Didn't quite make my reading target this year - and definately didn't make the to read target from the books i already have - the library is brilliant but its not helping me cut down on the pile on my shelf! so this year I am going to try and read one shelf book after each library book - that way the pile should go down!

Just finished clearing out my spare room so I can now get to two of the book cases that have been inaccessible for some time :o

I will count how many books I have to read this afternoon and will update my signature. I'm going to aim to read 36 books this year, so 3 per month on average. I've just started reading the first Game of Thrones book, I loved the TV series and it's pretty faithful to the book I'm enjoying it so far.

I have bought 3 more books. Well I say bought, but I got book tokens for Christmas so they didn't cost me anything. As my Kindle battery was flat yesterday I started reading one of them on the bus home from the shops...I had the book 3 hours and I've already read half of it :) It's THe Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom and I'm loving it so far. Will probably finish it later on when I'm a bit more awake!

Have finished The Five People You Meet in Heaven last night as I couldn't sleep. Really enjoyed it though I did have a bit of a cry. Just started The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry which seems ok so far. Only read 40 pages yet though

Just finished The Impossible Dead by Ian Rankin. Still working through e-books on my Kindle at a decent rate although along with TID I have to report the in coming of a full set of the True Blood books and Dodger by Terry Pratchett.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
