I've been away for ages, still been working my way through my books and trying to resist the temptation of buying more, hoping Santa brings me a kindle fire even if I'll still have so many books to read I'll not be able to add any books to it but the money I've saved not buying books will cover the cost.
At the minute I'm reading Time for bed by David Baddiel, I couldnt really get into it and promised myself I'd give it till 100 pages, and I'm continuing it till the end now, I'm finding it a bit hard going though more a book i'm perservering with than cant put down, it's taking me ages to read it, I find it difficult to disconnect Baddiel from his main character and I feel as its a book for lads, written by lads, it's not all bad though.0 -
Wondering does buying books for other people count, they're not books I'd want to borrow back either0

So long as you actually give the books away I'm pretty sure that just counts as a 'gift'.Please call me 'Pickle'

Peter James is my favourite, i've read all of his. I've also read all Jeffrey Archers prison diaries which I really enjoyed. I read the first Fifty Shades which was an easy read but gave up part way in to the second one as I found the characters sooooo irritating!!! I've just started reading Jaws!!Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails)

Finished "The Devil in the White City", now on to "Confessions of a GP" for a bit of light reading. Can't believe I've managed to read 70 books already this year! Commuting really helps!
And I really want a Kindle Fire HD but mainly just for the tablet computer bit, not as an actual e-reader.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Finished 'Confessions of a GP' and now on to 'Forest of the Pygmies' by Isabel Allende. It's only a couple of hundred pages long and the OH is watching NFL tonight so I might finish it tonight!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I renewed my library books yesterday and my librarian told me that two have been requested by other people, so they have now zoomed to the top of the 'to read' list and I will hammering away with them. (I've been meandering through about five books at the minute, so this bit of extra structure is no bad thing.)Please call me 'Pickle'
