I always keep forgetting to come and update this thread!
In the past week I have finished, 'An Idiot Abroad' and 'Twisted', 'Ruthless' and 'Stunning' in the Pretty Little Liars series. It's really being dragged out and I just want her to end the thing. I thought that would happen in 'Stunning' but nooooooo there's apparently another book coming out in December and it still might not end there...
On to 'The Great Gatsby', can't believe I've never read this either!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Finished "The Future of Us". It was a fairly predictable ending tho I couldn't work out how it'd get to it! I liked that the point of view of each chapter kept swapping between the two main characters

Finished 'Gastsby' and 'City of the Beasts' by Isabelle Allende (one of my fave authors). On to 'The Devil in the White City' (an IN to declare I'm afraid). It's a read for my book club and to be honest I'm not really looking forward to reading it, it's not my kind of thing at all. But I guess it's good to broaden my horizons!
Oh and I ordered 'The Forest of the Pygmies' (again by Isabelle Allende) because it's the last one in that particular trilogy that I haven't got round to. To be fair it was £2.80 in the amazon marketplace (and an order fulfilled by amazon, so free shipping!)Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

I have this on my "To be read pile" as well. Might pick it up after I've finished the beast I'm on at the moment.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Finished "Hybrids" today. Not sure what to think about it. The concept was interesting and the plot was twisty. Didn't see where it was going at all. It ended very abruptly tho and on a bit of a cliffhanger which seems to set it up for a sequel but there isn't one so I assume it was just the ending.
It was written in 1st person with each chapter swapping the POV, this was quite hard to get into - didn't feel like the author wrote from the girls POV as well as from the boys, which made me care more about the boys story - tho he was the main character so maybe this was on purpose!
Next up is "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy - have heard good things about it so looking forward to giving it a goNo more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

Part way through Fifty Shades Freed, but have to stop and read something else every few chapters.
Just read Peter James, Dead Simple, brilliant. Now reading Jeffrey Archer prison diaries part 3, Heaven.
Have more Peter James lined up and Harlen Coben. Loved Tuesdays with Morrie and Five People you meet in Heaven.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
