I think Tony Parsons is brilliant :) I read Man and Boy ages ago and went shopping with my mum shortly after, picking up 3 more of his books in a discount shop. Got home to realise that in the same purchase I'd managed to buy 2 copies of the same book, one hard cover and one paper back! Might read one of his when I've finished Mockingjay...which reminds me I need to update Goodreads

  • Yey, finished Tom Sawyer :) Get to amend my sig!

Now finishing "Raising Your Spirited Child" by M Kurcinka. It's actually v motivating having this thread to post to (well duh), feel quite accountable.

Have ordered a couple of books from the library (how children fail and how children learn, both by John Holt), which will cost me around £2 if they turn up.

Am also v tempted by an ebook from America about how to get your children to love clearing up after themselves (hmm) - $7, but am resisting so far.

Finished "Only the Good Spy Young" by Ally Carter. Thought it was brilliant - the best of the series so far.

Slight change of pace for my next book - "Full Dark, No Stars" by Stephen King.

Finished "The Sense of an Ending" and "Super Sad True Love Story" last week. On to "Shiver" by Maggie Steifvater now. It's a pretty easy read so hoping to get through all 3 books in the series this week. Almost finished one shelf in my bookcase. The remaining shelves are full of big hardbacks mainly so might have to leave those for reading at home and try and get through my kindle un-reads during the daily commute.

I've just got home from my holiday and have made a fair dent in the unread books on my Kindle, plus finally found a copy of One Day in one of the bars which I read and then returned. Now I'm home I've another week off work and am planning to see if I can get through another few of the unread books from my shelf.

Started In2Deep by Tony Groom, only a few page in so far but its avoided the worst of the usual diving related annoyances (prob because Groom was a Navy Diver for years).

Another book finished! I was intended on flicking through Fifty Shades: Freed cos of the blurb in the back of the first 50 Shades book mentioning some sort of tragedy in the 3rd book (bit of a cop out if you ask me), but my best friend (who has read the trilogy in its entirety) said you had to read the second book to understand the third, so I flicked through the second and read the third in a bit more detail (with a fair bit of ignoring what looked like being boring parts, I must admit), so I consider that I've read one book out of two.

Still reading about four others all at once...will still get there, sooner rather than later!
