I enjoyed it as I read The White Queen last summer, and growing up my Aunt was/is really in to that period of history, being President of the local Richard III Society. Looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the third in the set The Lady of the Rivers (on my Christmas list, if I don't get it it'll be a mystery shop purchase).

    Hi guys

I finished the last twilight book last night. I really really enjoyed them and it was difficult to put them down to sleep! I think the third book was the best but I'm now waiting for the first part of breaking dawn to come out at the cinema so I can go see it!

I'm torn between my next read being Lee child - Persuader or Karen Rose - I'm watching you. Decisions Decisions x

I've finished 'Snuff' by Terry Pratchett. I found it really enjoyable. I love a good Sam Vimes book. :D

Next: Dante's Inferno, I think. Or Peter Kaye's autobiography.

Them's eclectic tastes right there. :D

  • It'll be a longgggg time before I can read Snuff (not least of all becuase I have had to put it in the christmas box for my stocking) i couldn't get on with Peter Kays autobiography - hope you enjoy it tho. I normally LOVE that type of read.

I went for a bath the other night (TMI??) and wanted to read a bit more of Sophie Kinsella's Mini Shopaholic but couldn't find it :( so ended up with "delete this at your peril" - It's FANTASTIC - if you like a comedy read...... not that I would suggest buying/ obtaining a new book you understand.
OHHH NOOOO now i see from that site he has writen 2 more..... well if anyone has finished them and have them in their stash but need to make space...........................................

  • I finished "One Day" at the weekend. Really enjoyed it - wasn't quite what I expected but was very easy to read and get in to.

Have now started "Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks - I seem to be currently going through all the books I bought last Christmas!

Went to Waterstones at the weekend and managed to come out with nothing bought! :) Although there was a lot of temptation!!
No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
    Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52

Well done blindtoast - I still struggle to walk past 'Stones even though I almost never buy from them. If I ever get to the bottom of my to read pile One Day will be added to it.

I really really struggled to read Dear John, I knew from friends what it was about and that they found it an emotional read - but as a military 'wag' I was in tears for what felt like almost all of it!
