That is why both DS's are in sleeping bags. Our 3yo won't keep covers on AT ALL, so the only way to keep him toasty warm is with thick sleepers or sleepsuits. And DS3 is looking to be the same way - they both wriggle all over the place while sleeping.
I guess that makes me a lazy mummy - as I don't like to get up constantly during the night and put the covers back on repeatedly.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

I breastfed 2 of mine (middle one until he was 8 months, youngest until he was 13 months)....only because I was being miserly self and realised it was cheaper, eldest was FF.
I used disposable nappies and longer than usual because the two youngest have a bowel disorder.
I used wipes.
If the babysuit wasn't dirty, it stayed on for another day.
I didn't immediately pick them up if they fell, I would say upsey daisy, up you get and not make a big deal of it...of course if they really hurt themselves, I would go to them (doesn't work with youngest though, even if he is bleeding he hides behind a chair and doesn't want anyone to touch him!)
I let them cry a little before going to them...again youngest was weird, he cried to be put down and not picked up!
Eldest had a dummy and took a bottle to bed with him until he was 3, middle had a dummy until he was about 6 months or so but was most peeved that youngest wouldn't have a dummy at all.
Eldest had a cot bumper....and still has it at age 16 (and he looks such a grown up, all 6 foot of him going to bed cuddling an old cot bumper!)
Middle had teddies....and still has them at age 13!
Youngest just had cot blankets....and still has them as security blankets at age nearly 12!
I was a naughty mummy and instead of sweets to bribe them, gave them maths questions to work out....did the trick though, it certainly distracted them!
They were not bathed every night when young, I now hassle them to have a bath as teenagers.
I let them have pyjama days...well it is more like pants days as only eldest wears pyjama bottoms.
I feel right at home on this thread, I thought I was the only non perfect mum on the site!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Reading this thread makes me realise I've been naughty without even trying! eg cot bumpers, why are they wrong? Everyone used them when my kids were little, it was supposed to stop them banging their heads on the sides of the cot. Calpol? whats wrong with that? As long as you follow instructions why would that be bad? Are you supposed to let kids have pain and fever instead of giving them medicine? And why are baby wipes and toiletries specifically designed for babies now supposed to be bad for them? Seriously, I don't even understand what's going on here.0

Baths every day? Once a week if they're lucky. But I did throw my eldest in the bath yesterday when I saw the state of his feet
And Cartoon Network is your friend- especially if you're a working mummy who needs to do 2-3 hours work a day from home after you've done the school run.

another bad mummy event this morning
DS refused to eat his breafast, said he wants to watch cartoons first
Gave him the choice you either eat breakfast or you go to school hungry
He went for the second option but obviously changed his mind by the time he got to nursery

This bit is because we, as bad mummies, are distroying the environment as they are not bio degradeable.
