My boys both liked to dip their dummys in grandads beer/ whiskey and NO-one tried to stop them....we were all too busy laughing! DD didnt have a dummy...she used to just pick up the glass:eek:
    .
I also let them all have snowballs this christmas and thats got nothing to do with the white christmas we had:o
    Well they are 9,11,13:A
My mum used to give me black beer(yorkshire drink perhaps) and didnt realise it was alcoholic until I was 23 and pregnant....she had been recommending it for its vit c content. I had always wondered (as a kid)why more than 2 glasses made me feel sleepy:rotfl::beer:

Sure I am going to get flamed for this and sorry for spoiling the party, but although most of it is lighthearted I am finding some of this thread really irresponsible.

You have no idea who is reading this and how impressionable they are - discussing giving babies alcohol, no matter however small the amounts might be is quite disturbing as you have no idea how it might be perceived by others and how your posts might be acted upon.

    Sorry guys :o

Always one lol (that was said in jest).. You can report me to SS if you like.. DS1 is now 18.. :p

If they are naive enough to be emotionally scarred by this maybe they need to find a little reality in their life.

Before she was a year old my sister had gone through a litre bottle of whisky.. she is now 28 and doesn't have a drink problem and her liver is happy as larry.

I don't think you realise quite how old some of these 'babies' are now.

I fully endorse however, allowing your children to eat garden snacks... slugs, snails, woodlice... full of protein :p:p:p

:o:o:oMy name is CG77 and I have been a very, very, VERY bad Mummy this very evening...

I sat with my 3 yr old little man for 'milk time' just before bed (he has milk, a little bit of chocolate and watches peppa pig). Just before it was due to finish and Daddy was upstairs sorting ready for bed time, I felt the irresistible urge to tickle him...and tickle him...and turn him upside down till he laughed and laughed and laughed so hard...

    ...he vomited EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!

Then, to make matters worse, I stood back to avoid the torrents of projectile vomit that were landing all over his beloved power rangers outfit that I'd just told him not to spill on cos it has a flashing light in and can't go in the washing machine, the floor, DOWN THE SIDES and back of the sofa etc etc and shouted HELP at the top of my voice till Daddy appeared, undressed a shivering 3 yr old and passed him to me, saying, 'You put him to bed-I'll sort this'. :o:o:o

I felt bad enough myself...when little man rubbed salt into the wounds stating, 'Mummy don't put my feet up my nose again...it makes me sick'.

    Bad Mummy. Bad, bad Mummy.

I might have been making him smell his 'tinky feet' too. But just a little tiny bit.
