went out for milk this morning and went flying on the ice! Not a good sight! As i walked home 3 more people went flying!
Have ached all day as a result!!!!!
Half term now! Thank goodness!
DD2 is slowly improving...but didn't make it back to school today......spent a second day watching loads of Jonathon Creek.
Am decluttering a glass of wine and watching 8 out of 10 cats!
Night all - sleep well - see you all tomorrow!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I picked up DS2 from his new school today - he seems to have settled in really well, and having 3 teeth out on Wednesday didn't stop him from staying for the school disco yesterday. His classmates and teachers at his old school made the last two days really memorable and sent him home with a lovely present: a book with photos and writing from all the children in the class. The move has already brought one positive change, as he's been in bed much earlier the last two nights (no naps in the taxi)
.
Since coming home today I have: visited friends down the road for a cuppa, produced some edibles for tea, looked for something to make for friend's birthday tomorrow (decided on 3 varieties of twinks, to be produced in the morning), slept for two hours, watched a bit of TV, read the last few pages of the thread and taken something for this stupid sinus headache that started after lunch.
I'm so glad it's half-term. Tomorrow will be a baking/cleaning day. We'll nip down the road with friend's birthday goodies and maybe go to the supermarket, too. DH and I are going out tomorrow night, but not sure where, yet. I also need to come up with a plan for this week. I'm working Thursday morning (Y11 revision class), DS2 is supposed to go to new child minder's for a trial play time, and I need to call at school on Monday. I've got a lot of planning to do and didn't get a chance to pack everything I need. I want to try and get house stuff done in the morning, do something nice with DSs in the afternoons and do a couple of hours work in the evenings. I'll work out a list ready for Monday, then.
Hope you all have a great weekend and a nice half-term week. Time for a cuppa now, and maybe a can of something.
Good night.

Gonna say good night now and see you all some time tomorrow xx
Mrs Chaos , glad DS had a good time at new school, I have already had a couple of drinks(tis Friday!!) so why not???0 -
Well I've spent most of today asleep.. I think 8 hours sitting inthe passenger seat yesterday all but killed me! On a plus note I've knitted a whole cardigan bar the neckband lol..
The lady who does my nails is up tonight with her woofer having pups.. woofer having pups not Sally.. Anyway.. DD2 REALLY wants a woofer... Bear in mind I have a house full of people, 6 cats, 3 fish and the 2 rabbits.. would it be incredibly insane to opt in for a small dog too (Jack Russel/Westie cross) I know white/pale coloured dog in my house is probably completely doolally of me it'll constantly be black.. but.. I am home a lot of the time, it would eat ALL the leftovers and of course I'd give it food too..
I don't know though.. DD2 would be poop scooping.. I REFUSE to do it.. but she is almost 13 and a very sensible girl...

I think its a bad idea Piggers, dogs require a huge amount of time and energy, both of which you don't have spare at the mo, plus I thought the plan was to get the house organised this year in order for you to start your uni course in september.
Puppies chew EVERYTHING and scratch and cost a fortune in vets bills if anything happens.
I think you have enough to deal with hun without complicating things more.
Plus you just said you'd slept for 8 hours, summats not right health wise, thats not like you. xxxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
