vet bills are a non-issue at the moment.. we'd go to PDSA.. My cats chew everything and bite.. thankfully Noel has no teeth but Hazel is just wild..

I'm not going back to uni this year.. and if I go back next year I'm doing something different anyway.. As much as I like the course content I cannot stand the stupidity of the staff I don't think I could inflict that on myself again.. I'll be doing something part time as well.. or at least for the first year or 2.. the children really suffered for me not being here.

No.. I spent 8 hours in the passenger seat yesterday so am exhausted today.. it is so boring being driven around!

Well I've spent most of today asleep.. I think 8 hours sitting inthe passenger seat yesterday all but killed me! On a plus note I've knitted a whole cardigan bar the neckband lol..

The lady who does my nails is up tonight with her woofer having pups.. woofer having pups not Sally.. Anyway.. DD2 REALLY wants a woofer... Bear in mind I have a house full of people, 6 cats, 3 fish and the 2 rabbits.. would it be incredibly insane to opt in for a small dog too (Jack Russel/Westie cross) I know white/pale coloured dog in my house is probably completely doolally of me it'll constantly be black.. but.. I am home a lot of the time, it would eat ALL the leftovers and of course I'd give it food too..

I don't know though.. DD2 would be poop scooping.. I REFUSE to do it.. but she is almost 13 and a very sensible girl...

    input required!!

If you can manage 8 kids, 6 cats, 3 fish, 2 rabbits and KH and a OH ... what difference mess wise is one puppy going to make to be fair!!

Way I always 'tested' my childrens keeness on a pet was to make them do an age appropriate 'research project' on the pet, how often it needed walked, fed, cleaned, what food, how much was it going to cost, how much for jags etc. (all of which they get off internet or library), name choices, beds etc. If they can be bothered to do that, then you know they'll be bothered to look after them.

    Morning lovely flyladies,
Choccybix - Belated Happy birthday hon. I always seem to miss them unless they are on the official MSE list.
Toots - hugs.gif It IS something very important but as Soappie says it was meant to be this way. I am lucky as I never really get colds so would have been fine seeing her, but my OH is run down so he might have done and that would not be nice for him.
LadyL - love.gif Lovely talking to you sweetie and sorry for scaring you!
Rosepink - kiss.gif Really pleased you had a good time, as I said while you were missing, you deserved it.
Jinkypinks - smooch.gif Glad you got home safely hon and yes we missed you but like LadyL I text you yesterday morning and never had a reply so figured you were having a gay old time..giggle.gif
    Poppy - hugs.gif
Dusty - have a great holiday hon
Lamewolf - maybe you just need to make sure your chakras are closed down before you sleep? A short meditation should do that. (Ok, I know half the thread will now think I have grown two heads saying that but hey ho!) Feel free to p.m. me and I can guide you through it if you haven't already tried that. Or feel free to ignore it, I won't be offended!!giggle.gif
Triker - I do hope your nasty cold shifts soon
Pigpen - my humble opinion is that a puppy is far too much extra work and with the best will in the world, a 13 yr old girl will NOT do everything and it will fall back on you.
No flying done yet......have been talking to Diva since I got up :D
    HSwhistle.gif

Thank you everyone for all the good wishes for the meeting with the OT/SW (not sure which one she is..) and shall probably ask for them again when she is due here next.
rose.gifValentines Day tomorrow so anyone who hasn't bought or made a card only has today to organise it in! (and that includes me!) heartpump.gif

    Morning Everyone :hello:

I have been up since 7.30, unloaded & reloaded WM, TD & DW and had coffee and caught up on the thread.

Pigpen - I would let my heart rule my head here, as I am that way inclined and it wouldn't make too much mess, its a short haired dog. I have asthma and allergies to animal hair and I took in a stray cat
If you honestly think that your DD can take care of it and can handle the responsibility then you should let her.
Jinky - Welcome back, hope you had a nice time.
Soappie - Nothing more to add than what everyone has already said, just be careful.

Well am going out for a meal tonight to our favourite Indian, still not sure if our 2 friends are joining us, they are so fussy because its a set menu!!! They are not so keen to go.

I need to go get DH's card written out and put his vouchers inside (I printed vouchers off a website, 1 x breakfast in bed and 3 x 15 minute massage of his choice) its saving us buying any pressies and its more personal :D

Hope the rest of you are well and poorlies are recovering. Am gonna go get dressed before the kids get up and we go to swimming lesson. See you all later xxx
