Have been AWOL this week, too many things on. Went to London on Mon, DS was 5 on wednesday so spent lots of time baking, shopping cooking and cleaning up! Have caught up on all my data entry at school so just some worksheets to mark over hols as have also made sure all my books are up to date:j
But seeing as I have another party to go to tomorrow and my son's to cater for on Sunday I doubt I will get much done or get any stars this week but am not bothered as want to make sure my boy has a lovely time and make him another lovely cake- I just cant face buying shop cake anymore, too yuk! May attempt a no.5 cake from a book I got from the library so greenbee and any other bakers I may be shouting for help tomorrow or I may chicken out and do plan b which is a tray bake covered in buttercream, jelly tots and smarties:rotfl:
    So flying wise I have
pruned off what I have done this week already
cleaned my grandma's bathroom and downstairs loo (but not my own yet!)
    WM x 2
    DW emptied
    DW x1
    bins emptied
bed changed, kids to do in morn

oh and Pigpen- I asked you very nicely not to include cleaning out kitchen cupboards when I have just stocked up on MSE bargains!:rotfl:
hope everyone been ok, special hugs for toots and Lady L :A:A

  • ahh soappie - tricky one as you don't want to offend her by giving her stuff. Has she tried Shelter or some such charity? Because you are so lovely and want to help you could be unintentionally be dragged into to something you don't want to do. Be careful, have a word with your community bobby, he will probably knows her and will guide you in the right direction hopefully. Hugs, definately a hard one

Thank you for all your kind thoughts, folks.

I've tried all the usual remedies for poor sleep - warm bath, milky drink, lavender pillow, etc; even my usual methods of meditation don't seem to be getting me through this time.

So I shall carry your kind thoughts with me tonight and hope for a better night.:o
    Thanks again.
If you aren't an atheist, try a chat with the man upstairs, can't hurt, may help!

Magnesium supplements? Epsom salt baths? Sleep CD?

Soappie - I think that offering her the occasional cigarette if you're going to be waiting at the bus stop and having a chat is probably the limit you should go to at the moment. If she continues to talk to you, you could offer to find out where she might be able to get help, but don't do more than put her in touch with people who know how to help. And if your social conscience bothers you, then a donation to or volunteering for a local homeless charity is the best way to make a difference.

boddy - WM - I've got a 13 year old Siemens which has been great.

Choccybix, Happy Birthday, hope you have a lovely day too hun.

Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes for DD2, she's having a happy day.:D

Its seems that the majority of us flyladies have this horrible cough/cold/sinus headache/snotfest, wishing a speedy recovery to us all and an extra special healing recovery vibes to sexykitten, who has the flu.

Lamewolf, sorry you're having nightmares hun, this website http://www.soundsleeping.com/ any use to you hun, it appears to be free to use.

Soappie, my thoughts....I would check out the local hostels see if your 'aquaintance' would be interested, perhaps give her the number, also maybe ask her if there is anything she could use, say you don't donate money but would be happy to get her some essentials. Alternatively why not get a small goody bag together with sanitary towels, panty liners, deodoerant, lippy, mascara, small compact mirror, socks, gloves, packs of knickers, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.

Got in late from work so done nowt as shattered and feel grim, so had a bath, ate some food and just chilling.

Tomorrow its operation tidy up before sleepover, shouldn't be too hard as I'll rope all family members in.

I may try to get a few small jobs done tonight, I also need to write a listy out again.
