toottifrootti wrote: »greenbee this is not on - you should not be working at the weekends or evenings - daytime is the time for work - either in the office or at home - you really need to be more disciplined and do your work things during working hours. you are naughty! No wonder you are tired/CBA/behind with the house - you have no regular routine anymore.
I'm just getting into it - leave at 6.30am, go to gym then either shower there and head into the office for 10am or come straight home and have breakfast at home. The work day is all divided up and may include some walk/meal/going to the loo time if I'm lucky
. I don't work every evening, but I write better at night once the ideas have had time to develop, so need to work in the evenings. And anyway, I don't have a 9-5 kind of job. I have to do my research and writing based on what's going on in the real world - if something important happens I have to be able to react to it, not wait until I've got time in my schedule. Bear in mind that I do sometimes have time during the day to go for a walk, do the shopping/cleaning/laundry etc, so the flexibility cuts both ways.
I've got a deadline at the moment, so need to get some stuff done by Monday in order to meet it. This week has been difficult because I haven't been able to work except in the office, which is very restricting.
Suppose I'd better get on and get a bit more done before I brave the traffic & head home... it'll take a bit longer than usual as my car is being fixed (it was very unhappy last night and still not good this morning, so I took it to the garage who took one look at it, said something about a coil and gave me the keys to the courtesy car) and the car I've been lent has a smaller engine, no turbo and is a manual...0 -
kazw - cheers and bottoms up, been wine o'clock since I got in from work, just what the doctor ordered. Good luck for OH's daughter and birthTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0

Oh,Toots, DD has cleared her corner in the LR, without being asked, swept it all and put back, neatly what she wanted. Th e stuff she didn't want has gone into recycling/charity box xx She is upstairs now, tidying away the wayward bits on the floor(she hoovered it earlier in the week, so it't mot too bad!!)
Need to find my list, I have done a few bits this afternoon.....0 -
