BTW, the recital I did last month...I passed! The email was waiting for me when I get home from Australia. I got 68% which although it doesn't sound very much it is at Masters level and the pass mark was 50%, I got some good feedback too, just my dissertation to do now hence the baby flying steps as this is now my priority.

Congratulations, ajmoney: that's a really good mark! :j:j:j Good luck with your dissertation.

Hugs for Sarah and her DD.

Congratulations to ajmoney on her recital results - I'm sure the dissertation will be just as successful.

Well I was fed up with being house-bound, so decided to have a quick trip to the supermarket to get a couple of things that were on offer. I survived, and don't feel too bad, but am obviously not quite right still as I managed to pick up the wrong thing for one of the items, and completely forgot the paracetamol too!

Have decided that instead of the dinner we were going to have tonight, that we'd celebrate Chinese New Year a day early by having a takeaway tonight, as the local takeaway are usually shut on a Sunday anyway. We would've been going to my Mum and Dad's for dinner, but I decided not to spread my germs to them.

Why is it that whenever you need the takeaway menu, that you can't find it?! Probably because we have them so infrequently, that I think we haven't actually had one since we've been living in this house (over a year now). I know roughly what I want and I'm sure the number is in the phonebook, just not sure of all of their prices etc now. OH always tries to have something different if he can, but doesn't know the choices this time round. Wonder if MIL has a menu for them? Will ask OH to find out.

Off for a cup of tea and to get the washing in from the TD before it gets too dark to see.

    sexymouse xx

Have spent the day baking ... (apple cinnamon plait :j and home-made soups) ...and sorting the log-store :o, because we had some dead trees chopped up for us about a month ago, and the workman threw all the damp logs inside the store on top of the lovely dry ones we had been using all winter . It had got to the point where we couldn't winkle any more dry logs out from underneath, so we had to go into the store-room and do a major sort out. Need to have a hair-wash now. :o

We've also taken the leaf-nets off the pond - it looks awfully murky in there, but will no doubt clear up once the light and air gets in a bit better...

Tomorrow I'm going to brave the c-o-l-d conservatory, roping DH and DD to help as well. We're trying to grow a few early veggies in there, but the light-levels are abysmal because the windows are... green, to be frank  (glass, wood, the lot). Will save it up to count as my 'extra room' for next week. Wish me luck....

Right now the fire is lit (with dry logs) and DD and DH are cooking me a meal as an early Valentine's Day treat heartpump.gifchef.gifchef.gifheartpump.gif . (We're doing Chinese New Year tomorrow...). Life is good :D.

    Love to all

ETA: Sarah - hope DD gets better very soon. xxxx
