Hello, Anyone else watching 'Cook yourself thin' on C4? Some good ideas, although its not very veggie friendly (so far). I've ordered the books up (from the library like a good MSE person). I just cant stand the narrator's voice!
Hope everyone is doing well? Had the usual trawl around for fruit and veggies today. Just love all the summer fruit - what am I going to do in the autumn! Not doing too bad, size 18 is getting loose now (haven't weighed myself for a while). Going on hols soon (joy joy) a cruise, but its ok; lots of low fat veggie onboard.
Have also started selling off some of the non fitting clothes on e bay, & trying not to buy too many that fit now as I want to carry on loosing weight (if you see what I mean). I gave a bagfull to a lady from freecycle - but wouldn't it be nice if we could have a big Gok type meeting & swap some!
I have rediscoverd the joy of looking at clothes; its like a huge part of me was suppressed. (know its mad but I never felt I could before).
Ok enough rambling - best wishes everyone Mxx

I'm watching Cook Yourself Thin. I totally agree about the presenters voice !

I heard the stupidist piece of advice on it yesterday though as regards exercise.

After telling us we could do bicep curls with baked bean cans she said 'and if you've got a cat swap it for a dog and take it for a walk !'

    Yeah right !

Well done Keiss! I know how you feel - I have arthritis in my knees and so exercise is a little limiting for me - I have a pedometer on and try to do my "healthy" ones each day.

I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week but even more importantly I can now do up a bracelet which my mum left me and so I thought I would add a charm for each stone I lose as a bit of incentive - and the first one is a cupcake (avon £2.50) which I thought was quite funny as its the only cupcake I cant eat!!!
2010 has got to be better than the last two years!! :rotfl:

Weight loss to date: 3 Stone & 5lbs!! Weight loss this week: 2 lbs !!:j
  • well done good idea about the charms .the cupcake made me smile:)
  • last night I had lemon merangue pie, chocholate and pear sponge with choch sauce, baked orange cheese cake, chocalate bomb, and spotted !!!!!!.......( really struggled with these.and desert wines,
    so weigh in this mornig.
    have put on 0.2 lbs
Will try to cut out dairy ,wheat and alcohol and red meat ,coffee,
fizzy drinks for a week .I will not do this on Friday as hosting a murder mystry party and do not want to alter my menu.

so will see how it goes good luck to all
