Hi Guys!
Welcome to Mummy2Jack - you sound like you have plenty of motivation just start with small goals ( I find it helps to keep me upbeat and on track if I'm achieving the mini-goals I set myself) and don't beat yourself up about putting the weight on before...It's NOW that counts:)
Welcome also to Huston_kw good luck with the non-smoking bit...I've managed to cut down hugely and now on a couple of roll ups a day but not quite kicked yet:o
Have been MIA this week as me and DH took the week off work and have been going on day trips and walks etc so haven't had a lot of time to post!
So had planned to have this week off pretty much, birthday was this week and am having 30 people round tomorrow, so trying to get everything ready for that...spent three hours yesterday making spring rolls from scratch:eek:
haven't been on the bike much this week but have been spending most of the day walking doing around 4-6 hours each day- has been really nice to just spend time with DH wandering around and talking about nothing!:)
weighed in today and was expecting to have sts but have lost 2lbs:j
which makes it 6lbs in total woo hoo! then DH pointed out that although I was not actively watching what I eat we have been eating lots of salads, and generally eating healthily... plus all the walking perhaps have finally re-trained my brain to make better choices hurrah!...am making lots of salads for tomorrow and all meat will be done on BBQ so plenty of healthy choices...must just watch the cocktail intake:beer:
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Well done Mrs Woolfe!! :T:T
Hello all the newbies...sorry only popping on briefly to say that I have lost 3 pounds this past week!! :j:j
Really chuffed, as I have had great difficulty losing anything this year, more like putting it on!
Like you Mrs Woolfe, I have been eating more salads and less fatty/high carb stuff, but I have not been doing much exercise lately.
I broke my toe (it got a bit crushed a month ago - the nail came off yesterday ), and in the past couple of weeks I developed a painful bunion on my other foot...it is really not on...I NEED to do some exercise, even if it is just walking!!! So you can gather that losing 3 pounds in a week despite being rather inactive, is really quite encouraging.
I have found a pair of old trainers which I can wear for a few hours before the pain gets too much, so have been in the greenhouse this morning sowing LOADS of seeds. I am a bit late...but they will grow!
It's getting a bit hot in the greenhouse now, so off to town to get F&V and eggs, as well as the grow-bags for my tomatoes. Hope to get the greenhouse washed down and set up for the tomatoes this weekend. My plants have really put a spurt on this week.....everything has in fact!!
Have a great bank-holiday weekend everyone...and lots more BBQs and salads to keep us in trim!!.
