Seem to have lost control of myself...just can't keep away from the rubbish!

    To-day I have eaten:

    B....porridge with dried fruit, banana and milk, tea;

dinner....ham, bokchoi with oyster sauce, 3 small potatoes with butter, 2 slices swiss roll, tea.

Snack....apple when I can't hold out any more!

    Good luck everyone.

Hello all - can I join you?
After my weigh in at the gym this morning I`m now the heaviest I have ever been!
I am going to be counting calories (logging them on a website) and getting as much exercise as possible to help kick start the new me.
Aiming for a loss of 1lb per week which means that I will be at my goal by May 2011.
Hope to get to know you all
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hello ladies

Very depressed at the moment as the last month has been awful. Last time I posted I got down to my lowest weight for a while. Then we went away to my sis-in-laws for 5 days who has nothing but junk food in the house (and remote village with no shops) and I put on a STONE. Wow, I didn't think it was possible to put on a stone in 5 days. :D

Since then I have felt atrocious. No energy and very down. I also came on 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't stopped, going for tests next week to see what that is about but I'm sure it must have something to do with gaining so much weight so quickly. Really trying to eat sensibly now and get out walking as much as possible. Did 6 miles yesterday, will try to do similar today.

    Fed up!

Hi there, I'm not a doctor but your symptoms could possibly point to Hypothyroidism? (weight gain, feeling down and sluggish, problems with menstrual flow) So you should ask your doctor get your thyroid function tested just to rule it out. If it does turn out to be this you just have to take a daily thyroxine tablet and a lot of these problems you have could be eased.
There's thyroid problems (hypo and hyper) in my and husband's family and he's had hyperthyroidism so I've become a bit familiar with it!

I think I need to move in with some of you people and see how you do it.
I have a really fussy family to feed and end up cooking different meals. I snack all day on the wrong things then when it's tea time for all the others i'm not hungry, but come 11'oclock p.m when i'm still on here i start eating again. I live round the corner from candle power so maybe she can deliver my meals. lol.;)

    welcome to busy mum!:)

JojoB - BabyMother is right your symptoms could well be due to your thyroid so definitely ask for it to be checked out.

The Tuscan Bean soup I've just had was delicious - wish I could make one like it! anyone got any recipes for a similar soup? it was several types of bean in a tomato sauce with a hint of chilli and was reallt thick - yum yum!(it was an Asda healthy eating one)

so far so good for today!;)(its early yet I know:D)

    Hello All,

Have been away for a while so have only read the last few posts - so want to say ((hugs)) to all who are having a bad time and a good dose of cheer-me-up feelings too.

Hi imataloss, I did 1lb a month so I could lose a stone in a year and it worked for me. 1lb a week is a fair target and as long as you loss that or STS then its all good over a long period

Busy mum I think you need to put your foot down and cook one meal that everyone sits down too (you included), if any child / partner really doesn't like it then after everyone has finished they can have a sandwich of their choice and an apple. But I'm quite tough when it comes to fussy eating, I don't mind anyone not liking something but allow it on your plate and just leave it makes cooking and serving soooo much easier.

Taplady I think I have a receipe for that, will look it up tonight.

Well I went to my Mum's for her birthday and piled on 3lbs  mainly due to snacking - so have been good and didn't buy any nice things when I shopped.

    Today:
B: 2 toast with honey (still using the stuff up)
L: chicken mayo sandwich with cucumber - I did ask for tuna mayo so this was an odd combination.
    S: banana
D: Lasanga with salad (if I buy the salad) otherwise peas

Hi all, so I'm popping back again.

Very proud of myself so far today, have managed to walk past 2 bakeries, lots of cafes and even avoided the chocolate in the sweet shop when I bought a drink! It's been a long time since that's happened :o

Anyway, tappy, this recipe looks nice and gets good reviews http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/tuscan-bean-soup-recipe/index.html

Busymum - my mum used to get us to choose a meal each, one night it would my sisters turn, then mine etc etc. We all had to eat it even if we didn't like it and knowing our favourite was coming up made it easier to eat the stuff we weren't so keen on ;)

    Food today:

b: cuppa, Just Right cereal with rice milk.
l: 80g pasta with pesto, tinned red salmon and a little grated cheese.
    d: prawn curry with naan.

snacks.... probably a nana but I've also bought silicone cupcake cases so might make some low fat nana muffins (they stick to the paper cases unless you grease the cases, which defeats the whole point ;)).

Have a good day all, I'm off to the flylady thread. Catch up later.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
