Thanks suzid and cheerfulness.
Thats what I find depressing, tappy that there is never an end to it...if we just had to do it for X long, then it would be easy. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I do understand what you mean grateful but if we dont keep at it what is the alternative? just give up and get even bigger. I do remember the good old days when I ate what I liked without worrying about it but as you get older you just cant do that anymore:( on the plus side I do enjoy what I eat and when I have slip-ups I'm usually glad to get back to 'real food' again as I feel so much better and more energetic.
Keep going grateful - its worth it in the end xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Forgot to mention that I saw somebody I used to work but haven't seen in about 2 years last Friday. She walked right past me and when I ran after her she had no idea who I was until I said my name because according to her I 'look like a different person'. So that was a nice reminder of how far I have come with nearly 2 1/2 stone gone and kept off bar the odd 2-3lb slip which I quickly rectify.
Everyone can do it, it just takes time, persistence and support
B: 2 wholemeal toast (no butter) Hm marmalade
L: Cheese and HM chutney sandwich on wholemeal
HM chicken pie with steamed carrots, cabbage and cauli
S: 6 sour cherry ball sweeties
I have also made a choccy cake but so far have resisted temptation

Welcome back cheerfullness...yes, some of us are still here!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words...I will have to work really hard this week to maintain my loss, as I bashed my toe on Friday night (a kitchen worktop off-cut fell on it!).
I can hardly walk atm, and DH wants to take me to the MIU tomorrow to check that it isn't broken. The big toe is all black and blue, and I will almost certainly lose the nail...so I am not up to doing anything in the way of exercise just now! I have to have my foot raised all the time as the pressure (and pain) when the foot is lowered is just too much.
One good thing about this bashed toe, I should get lots of sewing and knitting done! At least I have no work until Saturday, and DH will take me if I still can't drive.
Have a great week everyone.

sorry if it sounded like I was preaching, I really didn't mean it like that - my DH always says I am bossy;)(who me?:D)
keiss - ouch! that sounds nasty - hope its not broken x
Floyd - I bet that really cheered you up!:j well done on losing so much weight so far!:T
Frogga hello to our little green friend if she's reading the thread!:wave:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi Cheerfulness! yes still sticking at it! managed to maintain it for over 2 years now! :j
You are my hero!
:T
Hi again Keiss - think your OH may be right to check it out. My poor friend was recently sporting a plaster cast on her foot after stubbing her toe on a step. She just thought it was a nasty bruise, too.
Have had my tea and now know how those lbs popped back on. Its clearly the ole chestnut of portion size. :wall:
I've mainly stuck to my small plate of before but its amazing how much you can cram on them when you're in a greedy moody.
As its Sunday I will be indulging slightly in a modest slice of victoria sandwich with a pot of tea while watching Foyles War. Then I'll try knitting feverishly to burn some calories off. :rotfl:

Well I've managed to stay the same which is nothing short of a minor miracle as I ate out Fri & Sat and had roast on Sun!
I'm out tonight but then should be back to a 'normal' week.....
Hope all of you are well, so many are doing well.
And Floyd it must have been such a boost to have an old friend not recognise you due to weight loss.0 -
I've stayed the same and I'm also surprised. Had bad cravings last week for sugary stuff and did indulge. However, as I've had a reprieve it's back on the wagon for me. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
