The temp has dropped drastically, by far the coldest day this year and my mood not improved by having to scape the car at 8am to go on a mission - which turned out to be impossible!
B - F&F ss milk
L - cheese & pickle toastie
D - out, beef casserole, roasties, creamed carrot
Snacks - usual pieces of fruit
Exercise - 1 hour pulm
Stay warm0 -
Agh, sorry, have been awol. Need to get back on track!!
Pre breccie - Declined biccies at stables (yay)
Breccie (or brunch (11am)) - 2x poached eggs on 2 x toast
Snack- little cake thing (Mr Kipling, pre packed thing, me bad, but it tasted so good!)
Lunch- Homemade soup
Dinner- Quorn breast, carrots, roast/mashed pots, cauli cheese. this sounds bad, but was a small portion. AND I declined the choc brownie that I made and the cheeseboard- not because I felt guilty, because I wasn't hungry
Exercise - 2 hrs yard work, dog walk around the fields, about 4h housework/general activity (I didn't sit down all day). Kernackered now (and slobbing)!!
Really wish I had a horse to ride, well I do, but he is too big and needs a bomb up his bum. My ridden horse is long term lame and likely a write off and I can't afford to keep another. Need to find another form of exercise that appeals to my lazyarse nature0 -
B - grapefruit with plain yogurt
L > hangs head in shame, succumbed to a rtc triple :eek:sandwich in Mr A this afternoon. First was a king prawn with Marie Rose sauce in brown, next turkey, stuffing, bacon & cranberry jelly in white then cheese and sweet chilli pickle in brown - the whole called Christmas dinner triple. Oh I do wish I hadn't, I was peckish and should have bought an apple or something, now I feel bloated and uncomfortable with only myself to blame.
Supper - small bowl of F&F wih ss milk,
Exercise none, too full! Tomorrow I'll make up for it though, already planned what music I'll play while I'm dancing round the housework
Have a good (healthy!) evening0 -

Hello,
What are the best salads people are eating which are healthy?
I have started on salads the last week as OH has lost half a stone recently by changing his diet to include this. I do like boiled egg salad, is this healthy? Any suggestions.....0 -
Blondy I think eggs are pretty healthy, good source of protein and "good" fats. Advice used to be not to eat too many due to high cholesterol content, but I think recent studies have shown that it doesn't cause your "bad" cholesterol levels to raise.
If i'm making a salad I have about 80% lettuce/chopped salad veggies and 20% of whatever protein I'm having with it, and only use a minimum amount of dressing (1-2tbsp) Things I like with salad - fish (salmon/mackerel fillets you can buy precooked, so it's dead easy), cheese (eg goats cheese/feta), chicken. Alternatively try replacing/reducing the carb part of your main meal with a big chopped salad on the side. Hope that helps
Todays meals for me:
Breakfast: fruit corner
Lunch: chicken salad sandwich, wotsits, apple, satsumas
Dinner: undecided, probably chicken fajitas as need someting quick after Tescos
exercise: tescos! Not sure it really counts, but I'm always exhausted afterwards! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Afternoon All,
I've had a full morning as I did my Shred DVD, then had a chat to DD on Skype, then went for a 7 mile walk and as soon as I got in it was time to go out again as DS was treating us to lunch. I'm now having a break with a coffee then need to shower and wash my hair ready for work at 4.45pm. I also want to do some sewing as I've turned an old duvet into window quilts. We've been using them for the past couple of days but I need to turn up the bottoms. My sewing machine is playing up so I'm going to sit and hand sew them and listen to Christmas music. They seem to be working well so I have another duvet to adapt for the hall door and windows when I've finished.
B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
L: Double egg and chips. Coke
Snack: 1/2 Eccles cake.
T: (Packed for work) Either HM soup and bread or a prawn salad wrap depending on if I have time to make some soup. Banana.
Exercise: 20 Shred DVD. 7 mile walk plus another 2 miles of walking with trip to cafe and to work tonight.
Rose
PS We decided to go to the pictures very last minute last night and I'm afraid I succumbed to a white chocolate Magnum in the interval despite having already had my calorie allowance for the day!Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs

Really though you can make salads with anything - cheese, chicken, smoked mackerel, prawns etc. Use whatever salad veggies you like. Be carefull of the dressings that you add, they can be very high calorie. There are plenty of reduced fat dressings available although you can just use balsamic vinegar or lemon juice [that is what I do now and I don't miss mayo or salad dressings at all].0 -
Tying so hard to get back on the wagon....
b - skipped
s - piece of date cake
l - ham salad, mini mince pie
s - m!lky way
t - HM sausage, chorizo and bean casserole (WW recipe) slice of HM soda bread
Okay, so not the best day...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
