Morning all
Weighed in this morning at 14st 13lb, so lost 0.5lb taking me to 12lb lost in total :j Not had a very good week, we've had 3 birthdays at work, plus my family ones last weekend. Must do better for the next 2 weeks, I'd still like to lose a couple more lb before the end of the Challenge. Having said that we're out for dinner tonight, work Christmas do, and I'm out for lunch with my team on Tuesday, but will try and fit in lots of exercise to make up for it
Today:
BReakfast: granola bar
Lunch: chicken sandwich
Dinner: Parsnip soup and bread, Chicken in leek/tarragon creamy sauce, saute potatoes and veg, cheese and biscuits, muchos vino
Exercise: does dancing count?! :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Hello everyone, well done to all for getting on the thread still and trying hard.
My weigh in today is still staying the same. I seem to be happier about it than in previous weeks, figuring that normally at this time of year my weight would go up without a doubt.
I am finding exercise has gone by the wayside, so will make this my goal from today to improve.
Keep going everyone, it is the little changes that add up to an improvement overall.
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Lost 2lb this week please ragz :j. If I can keep this up there's a slim chance I might make my goal of 10st but not counting on it, just looking forward to the next challenge.
Congrats all the losers and triers, will be interesting to see how much we've all lost by the time this challenge is over
B - F&F ss milk
L - slim soup, crackerbread
D - stir fry
Snacks - usual fruit
Exercise - shivering! Golly it's nippy this morning. 2 bedrooms given a good clean, and sorted out smaller one which doubles as my office. I call it my organise chaos room
Saw this which sums us up I think - Perseverance is not one long race, it's many short races one after the other0 -

Evening All,
Thanks for the compliment RAGZ. I absolutely adore being a Grandma and can't believe how much pleasure I get from my DGD. Mind you, I loved having my own two and was a primary school teacher for many years and loved that too.
I've had a busy day today and didn't get chance to post at all yesterday. We've just got back from our local Christmas market, but I heroically resisted all temptations - hot chestnuts, bacon baps, sausages, burgers, homemade fudge etc.
B: Bran flakes with sultanas and full fat milk (left over from DGD's visit)
L: We went to a carvery and again had tokens for free icecreams! Roast gammon, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, diced swede, carrots, green beans. Icecream with strawberry and chocolate sauce
T: Poached egg on toast. Banana.
Snack: 3 squares of chocolate
Exercise: Very little apart from walking but only about a mile and a half over the day I should think. I did intend to get up and do a DVD before we went out but rolled over and snuggled up to DH for an extra half hour instead this morning.

Good Morning x
I have officially lost 0.2 lbs. Does that count? It has been a bad couple of weeks and I really do need to have a final push as I could still lose a pound or two before the Big Day.
Well done to all who have lost especially Sparrer on your 2lb loss and to those who have STS - that is a big achievement in itself when there is so much temptation around.
Many thanks Ragz for keeping the scores on the doors and keep trying Slowly Fading xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Good afternoon all.
Yesterday's meal plan went out of the window, unfortunately. Instead I ended up eating too many doritos [with homemade salsa] and lovely homemade brownies [well it was a new recipe so I had to test it].
I tried to work it off this morning with an hour long session on the wii fit, with plenty of aerobics, will do another one tomorrow.
My meal plans for today are -
B - fruit, LF greek yoghurt, nuts, honey
L - wholemeal pitta, LF halloumi, cherry tomatoes. 1 homemade scone.
D - lentil and spinach curry, quinoa
S's - fruit, nuts.
Have a great weekend everyone.0 -
Afternoon All,
I have work later today so have been busy packing up a healthy tea to take with me and cooking a meal at lunchtime. I also managed to do my DVD this morning despite being tempted to stay in bed cuddled up - the bet I have had with DH is working in that respect! I even jogged to the PO and back straight afterwards whilst I was being good.
B: Muesli with extra sultanas, skimmed milk (and a dash of cream!)
L: Tortilla wrap filled with chicken, peppers, mushrooms, onion and garlic and a spoonful of creme fraiche. 1/2 an Eccles cake
S: 3 squares of chocolate
T: HM spinach soup with HM bread. 2 bananas.
Exercise: 20 minutes Shred DVD. 10 minutes jogging. Walk to work later (about 3/4 mile).

Morning all
Had a fun time at Christmas do last night although the food and service was awful  my soup was obviously tinned, they never brought the "rustic" bread til we asked for it, and then it was just bog standard sliced white. My main was supposed to be chicken in a leek and tarragon cream sauce, but they'd run out of sauce so just got bisto. at least the company was good, but I don't expect to have to pay £33 a head for that sort of evening!
Todays meals:
Breakfast: slice of toast and 1 tsp butter
Lunch: natural yoghurt, apricots, satsumas
Dinner: tbc fancy something stodgy thoughLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Good afternoon everyone, thanks for updating Ragz. Hope everyone is well, had a walk to town this morning and did a little Christmas shopping, was tempted to have a hot chocolate but managed to resist. Finding it hard to resist the pringles DS has just opened but need to, I have had two Christmas meals this week with another planned for next Wednesday so trying to be good.
Have a lovely evening everyone, I find Saturday night quite difficult as it is treat night for the boys.
