  • Morning All,

I've woken up full of resolution and completely recovered from my cold this morning. I got weighed this morning and I weigh 9st 1lb, which is 3lbs heavier than the lightest weight that I'd got down to (8st 12lbs). So, after much deliberation and remembering how well my bet with DH worked earlier this year, I have come up with the following plan as I'd like to start the New Year at my lightest if possible. I am going to get weighed on New Year's Day and for every lb over the 8st 12lbs I am, I am going to pay DH £10. (So on current weight I would owe him £30 already!). However, for every lb under 8st 12lb I have managed he will pay me £10. That way I have the incentive to lose those 3lbs but also try to lose a couple more as well and should keep me from overeating over the Christmas period.

I've started off well as I've already done a 20 minute exercise DVD - I've gone back to Level One on Jillian Michaels Shred - and jogged to the Post Office and back (about 5 minutes each way).

DH is away today and tomorrow so I can tailor meals for a good start and I am working all evening which will keep me out of the kitchen. I've also started a new knitting project to keep my hands busy whilst watching TV. I need to plan today's meals next and have some breakfast as I always like to do my DVD before I've eaten.

    Back Later.

    Hello Again,

I've decided on my meals now. Also had a walk up to the bank, chemist, PO (again) so a bit more exercise.

B: 3 pineapple rings in own juice. (100 calories)
L: Poached egg on toast. (250 calories)
T: Prawn salad mini wrap. (200 calories) Banana (90 calories)
Plus 200 calories for skimmed milk coffees over the day.

Total = 840 calories which leaves me 160 calories for treats.

Exercise: 20 minutes Shred DVD. 10 minutes run. Walks to various places and work - so about 2 miles in total.

DH off out tonight and tomorrow night, so have got a frozen shepherds pie (HM) out of the freezer for my tea tonight, my favourite and DH only tolerates it, so I'll have it two nights in a row. nom nom nom

    Today:
    Breakfast: granola bar
    Lunch: chicken salad sandwich, wotsits
Dinner: shepherds pie, sprouts and broccoli. good thing DH is out or he'd moan about the combined sprout/broccoli cooking smells, fussy beggar
Snacks: probably some cake/biscuits, it's a busy week for birthdays at work this week, will be hard to resist all week so will allow myself one thing a day.

Exercise: swimming, if the witch doesn't show today.

    Afternoon All,

It's very quiet on here at the moment. Hopefully, it's because everyone is busy enjoying themselves.

B: Muesli with sultanas and skimmed milk (200 calories)
L: Poached egg on toast. Piece of toast with raspberry jam. (400 calories)
T: (At work again as doing an extra couple of hours for DS) HM spinach soup with piece of HM bread. (200 calories)

Skimmed milk for milky coffees over the day - 200 calories.

Total - 1,000 calories. No extra left for treats today. Yesterday's treat was some smoked salmon which I ate after work as I was hungry when I got in at 10.15.

Exercise: 1 1/2 hours exercise class - weights, circuits and abs. I could tell I'd had a week off and been ill as I found it hard going and had to stop a couple of times today. Walk to class and back and to work so about 2 miles in total, maybe more if I have a quick trip to the PO later.

Well done Dragon, you are doing great! Are you starting to feel the benefit of it now?
Rosewood- sounds like a good challenge, hope you make some money out of it ;)

I only managed half an hour swimming last night, the pool was too warm I wasn't really in the mood. I seem to be flagging with the swimming at the moment, it happens with all exercise. I need to make it interesting again...

Food ok today apart from the 200cal worth of chocolate I just ate... but should still be ok. Really hoping at least one of the pounds I regained will have gone by next WI.

    Keep it up everyone.
