Molly41 :T Well done! Will update list tomorrow.
LitteMoog - sorry, I did LOL at that a little
Just had a yummy breakfast - Porridge made with half water half soya milk, sliced banana nuked with cinnamon and honey then stirred into the porridge, topped with with golden raisins and sprinkling of chopped hazelnuts - I reckon it was about 400 calories. Hoping it will keep me full for a while. DD loved it too. The banana bit came from the link in this post (adapted for microwave) by la farfallina so please thank them for the link. There are some great recipes on that site so have a look around. https://www.skinnytaste.comJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Well done Molly41, that's great!
I am pleased to say I lost 1lb this week despite a doughnut and minstrels last night, that's a relief.
Keep up the good work everyone. I am thinking about how I will manage at Christmas when I am staying at my sister's house, does anyone have any tips?0 -
We'll be staying with family for a few days over Christmas, which will also include my 30th  and as DH's parents are divorced, will probably mean 3 big meal occasions. I'm planning to not log on Christmas Day/Boxing Day, and then to switch to maintenance calories until after New Year but try to fit in as much exercise as I can so I can enjoy some yummy treats
Then when I go back to work on the 3rd Jan, I'll go back to my weightloss target calories.
Hoping not to gain, but not expecting to lose over the 10 days I'm off workLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Good morning everyone. Well done to the 'losers' :T
I have lost 3 pounds , I'm not sure how but I'm very happy with that. It was also the 6 month anniversary of my 'weight loss journey' as they say on reality TV programmes. During that time I have lost 3 stones 3pounds [45 pounds]. This takes me from 14stones 11 pounds to 11 stones 8 pounds. So I still have some way to go to a healthy weight but every pound I lose takes me nearer.
Anyway, my meal plans for today are -
B - fruit and fibre, semi skimmed milk
L -granary bread, homemade lentil and veg soup
D - quinoa, ratatouille
S's - fruit, yoghurt, nuts
Exercise - swimming. I feel as if I am making good progress in the pool, so looking forward to it.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
I have not posted for ages as I have had really bad problems with my gallbladder. After two visits to A&E and two stays in hospital, I have had it out and am now recuperating. It should have been a very straightforward procedure, but unfortunately, I had complications. Anyway, I was 9st 3 on the scales this morning, (12st 2 at my heaviest). Not a very good way to lose it, but I am determined not to put it back on. I am aiming for 8st 7 for my daughter's wedding in July.
B: granola cereal and ss milk. 2 coffees
L: beans on toastmushroom omlette and salad

Sorry to hear you've been so poorly Sloan
hope you're recuperating well and feeling better without the gall bladder.
JBD That's amazing progress in 6 months, I hope I can say the same next March/April :T
Weighed in this morning at 14st13.5lb, so I've finally dropped the stone number! That makes a 2lb loss this week, and takes me to 11.5lb in total since the start of the Christmas challengeThat gives me 4 weeks to lose the remaining 9.5lb to get to my target, not sure it's achieveable, but I'm going to work really hard for the next 4 weeks! Even if I don't get all the way to my target, I'll be considerably better off than at the start! :j
Today's meals
Breakfast: Fruit corner
Lunch: Ham and rocket sandwich, apple, satsumas
Dinner: jacket potato, beans, cheese (1.5oz) and pancetta cubes
Exercise: swim or body attack after work depending on timings.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Great results everyone! I have STS but this is my PMS week and my boobs are huge (side effect of the Pill I'm on!) so I am hoping I have actually lost something as I have been really good (apart from 2 Eccles cakes last night after swimming!) .
Swimming went well last night, only did 60 lengths but a lot more intense than I had been doing as I have finally mastered front crawl! I only used to be able to do a length, if that but have sorted the breathing and did the 60 lengths alternating 4 breaststroke and 4 front crawl (the most I can manage in one go at the moment!).
Was very good in Tesco, bakery items were greatly reduced so I grabbed some cherry and chocolate pastry things and some Eccles cakes, but talked myself into putting the cherry and chocolate ones back! I had intended to give DH one of the Eccles cakes but he was asleep so I accidentally ate it!

LittleMoog thank you. That is why I posted my stats, I know how daunting it seems when you have a lot of weight to lose. When I started I didn't really think I could do as well as I have done but I am starting to believe in myself now. Hopefully my progress can give a bit of encouragement to other people and show it can be done if you just hang in there.
Ragz well done on your swimming, I wish I could do the front crawl as I know it is the most aerobic but I have never learnt it. I am improving my back stroke though so at least I can do 2.0
