  • Morning all..haven't been on this thread for quite a while and now have put 1 stone 5 lbs on!!! Have lost 2lb this week. Though am eating way too much and now must tackle the reasons behind this.

So I would like to lose 1 lb per week. I rarely exercise and I know if I did I would certainly see a change on the scales as well as clothes fitting a bit better. I drink far too much red wine...and my belly is now way too big for my shape :):):) So need to cut this down or out for a while.

take care and all the best

  • Afternoon All,

My going back to healthy eating was slightly scuppered today as we had vouchers for free icecream after our meal at our local carvery! I did do without roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and stuffing though and have made a flask of soup to take to work tonight for tea.

    B: Muesli.
L: Roast Gammon, green beans, sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and diced swede. Ice cream with toffee sauce.
T: HM spinach and garlic soup with HM bread. Banana.

Exercise: 20 minutes exercise DVD this morning. Plus about a mile and a half of walking by the time I walk to work this evening.

    Morning all

No food planned as yet today as been up a couple of times in the night with a bit of a bad tum so giving it a rest for now and maybe have a slice of toast later. I do get cross, hate illness and have very little patience with it . My DM thinks I'm odd but I've never been the sort to weep and wail and feel sorry for myself, I just want to get on with things!

Have a good day, hope it's as sunny where you are as it is here :)
  • I would like to join this thread/challenge. I lost a couple of stone 2years ago but during the last 12 months a stone as found me again!! how dare it. Currently tryin hard but now that I'm in my early 40's its not as easy as it use to be!!!! I do find that the high protein diet works best with me but i'm open to suggestions. All help much appreciated
  • Hi! I'm a regular on the gc forum, but have made it my mission to lose weight next year (getting a head start now). I currently weigh 12st12, and want to be 9st something. That's 3st to lose, which is less than a lb a week for next year. I've done ww before, twice, and both times lost 40lb in about three months, but then it all comes back on again, so this time i'll be doing it slowly and steadily, and put a maintenance-type plan in place for when I've lost the weight.

    Here goes...

Welcome Penny Grabber and fingersxed x
Hope your tum feels better today Sparrer x

Im a bit down this morning as hubby and DD are, as we speak, about to take-off on a trip of a life-time to New York. DD has worked and saved hard and was so disappointed to miss out out on Uni. Hubby just does so much for me and the family and deserves this break so much. I just wish I could have gone with them but I can't fly and would be a hindrance. I have just comfort ate a whole bowl of custard and four chocolates - so will try and regain control!!

I am studiously avoiding the scales as I feel bloated. Hugs for a good weight-loss day xx

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. DH and I were tidying/cleaning the whole house in preparation for Christmas. all done apart from our spare room full of stuff that's waiting to go in the loft :o we opened the door once we were finished with everything else, looked at each other, and then shut it and went downstairs :rotfl: that's a job for next weekend.

Didn't get my laptop out, and hate posting on my phone, so here's my weekend meals:
    Saturday:
    Breakfast: fruit corner
    Lunch: soup
    Dinner: takeaway pizza :o

    Sunday
    Breakfast: fruit corner
Lunch: macaroni cheese, peas and carrots, eve's pudding
Tea: 1 slice cheese on toast, glass of ss milk, satsumas

    Today:
    Breakfast: fruit corner
Lunch: chicken salad sandwich, apple, satsumas
Dinner: meatballs with Ikea sauce, oven chips, peas.
