Not looking good for a loss for me this week, been really bloated and had tummy ache a lot this week, WI this morning at 165lb, so nearly 2lb heavier than a few weeks ago. Hoping swimming tonight may bump a bit off. Any tips for getting rid of bloated achey feeling? May have some peppermint tea in the cupboard so I could try that...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Rags I find plain boiled water soothing, don't know why it should be any different to cold water but it seems to help. Sometimes the body just needs something plain and simple, with no 'additives'
. Hope you feel better asap
B - F&F, skimmed milk
L - plain rice, veg/tomato sauce
D - one egg omelette with mushrooms
Snacks - satsuma, apple, pear. Pineapple with yogurt
Exercise - bathing the dog, and no doubt me at the same time. Drying takes a couple of hours brushing/blow drying otherwise his coat is all crinkly. Cute, but not how it's supposed to be
Enjoy the rest of the day0 -
Good afternoon everyone.
My meal plans for today are
B - granary toast, houmous
L veggie chilli, quinoa
D - may go to Harvester as it is son's birthday so will have jambalaya stack [is low calorie veggie option]
My son's birthday cake is in the oven right now, smelling very chocolatey. Of course I will be having a piece later but will try and control myself.
Have a good day everyone.
Ragz I know a lot of people find reducing carbs helpful [especially wheat] if they feel bloated. Personally a low carb diet isn't my cup of tea but I know some people like it.0 -
Good luck to everyone with weight losses tomorrow. I am pleased to say I lost 3 1/2 lb (over 2 weeks)! Think the moral is I can eat a little home-baking but don't go crazy!
B: Muesli and apple
S: apple
L: 2 rolls and apple, satsuma
S: 2 profiteroles, 1 kitkat (this was after weigh in, can you tell?!), bananapork burgers with coleslaw
Could vary my fruit a bit more, even went shopping today so no reason for it!
Ragz mint tea is supposed to be good to settle stomachs, I hope you feel better.0 -
Good Morning x
I will register my 1/2 lb loss as it is still going in the right direction. However I am away again on a Patchwork Course so will have to restrain myself. Goodness I shall be glad when Im back to normal although these WI courses are brilliant!!!
Ragz - Im another who drinks boiled water to settle my tummy and it does work, very soothing xx
Good luck for weigh ins and lots of supportive vibes winging their way through the ether xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Still 165lb this morning, still having tummy aches. Some are high up like gastro pain and some are like period pain. Really annoying me now...
