  • Am finding sticking to healthy eating very hard right now, Rocky Road all gone now but then my son brought back scones from school and I ate 3! I didn't want to post because I feel ashamed but I thought it would be nice to get some support!

I have a new romance which I am sure is not helping, oh dear!

good work on the running Bramble :) I loved running when I got into it last year, only stopped due to my back problem. Must get back into it in the new year.

    Today's meals:
    Breakfast: greek yoghurt fruit corner
Lunch: houmous and chicken wrap, apple, satsumas
Dinner: spicy butternut squash soup, half of part baked baguette, angel delight (butterscotch this week, mmmm!)

Exercise: step class (45 mins) and maybe arms workout at gym beforehand, as that seemed ok last week.

Planned calories for the day are quite low, so if I'm hungry before I go to the gym I'll have a snack - probably plain yoghurt and dried fruit

  • Morning All,

I have fallen off the band wagon with this lately and still the same weight as I was a few weeks back (10st 8lb). So going to make a bigger effort with this over the next few weeks as would like to lose some more weight. Starting making salads for OH and I for lunch recently. Going to pop to the shops at lunch and get some more stuff, will update later with food for today.

    Good morning everyone.
I did some baking over the weekend in an effort to be more 'old style', the trouble is I can't resist eating it [unlike shop bought things], so I had a couple of little cakes and 3 fruit scones. They were delicious, though I say so myself.
Have already been swimming. For some reason I kept getting out of breath which makes me panic a bit. I had to give myself a little bit of a talking to so that I didn't give up. I'm proud to say that I pushed myself to reach my target. One of the things I've picked up on from watching hundreds of fitness/weightloss programmes on TV is how important a good mental attitude and determination is.
My meal plans for today are -
B - granary bread with marmite
L - wrap with LF houmous, salad
D- this thing with eggs, spicy peppers and tomatoes that I saw on River Cottage [can't remember the name of the recipe]
    S's - nuts, fruit, yoghurt.
Have a good day everyone and keep up the good work :T

I too am hopeless at resisting my own baking! I try to limit it to once a week on a Sunday when DS and DDIL come for a meal but sometimes end up baking mid week for DH. I'm still feeling the effects of this Sunday so am having a low carb day or couple of days in the hope that helps.

    B: Prawn omelette
    L: Chicken salad.
D: Rump steak, creamed spinach with garlic and red onion, green beans. HM low carb dark chocolate mousse.

Exercise: 1 and 1/2 hours exercise class - weights, circuits, abs etc. Walk to class and to collect DGD who is staying overnight tonight whilst her Mum and Dad are away. We shall also maybe go out for a walk later and go and feed her cats so hopefully about 2 miles in total.

Oops, I'm going to stand in the naughty corner with the home bakers, but in my case it was a restaurant meal

    B - F&F, ss milk
L - egg mayo, slice French stick with butter, gammon, egg & a few chips, 3 profiteroles with choc sauce :o
    D - maybe a crispbread & vegemite if I'm hungry later
    Snacks - satsuma, melon, banana
Tomorrow will be a better day...

    Have a good evening :)

I'll be doing my home baking on Thursday, we are having a bun sale for Children in Need at school. Will try really hard not to test everything but wouldn't want any complaints from the children:D

Have a great evening everyone, going to do some tidying up then sit down with a cup of tea and a little treat.
