Can I join in too please?
I started on 1st March, don't want to think of it as a 'diet'. I've been there soooooo many times. I could loose weight for the olympics, the problem is keeping it off. This time around no diet books, no cranky food - this is the way I eat now. I went back to being veggie, not because I thought it would help me lose weight but just felt better for me. I sort of know the calories of most things (oh boy do I know). So I try to stick to under 1,800 a day. Sounds a lot but have a long way to go.
Anyways, I've lost 7lbs so far. I now weigh around 15 stone and think 9st would be right for me. It isnt going to happen soon so its day by day.
Lots of very boring meds etc so I am trying to walk a little every day and dragging the OH with me.

    Morning all,
Well done raspberry, ragz and floyd. Taplady I'm with you with a 2lb gain :(. However this is probably alot less than it would have been had I weighed myself a couple of weeks ago. So by the end of April, I 'will be' under 14st (again) and you can all send virtual kicks up the posterior to me if I'm not, OK!
Yesterday I took DS4 the see the nurse at the surgery and she was lovely with him. His blood pressure has come down to much healthier levels and she has refered him for an exercise course. He's so shy that I know he wouldn't do it on his own, but with this he'll have a personal trainer who will help him. We both joined a gym last year but he never went if I didn't and it got too much for me with all the dog walking too. Anyway we came home with information about BMI's and the types of foods and quantities we should have. He's really taking it all in and I'm hopeful that we can make this work. I only wish DH would visit his surgery and get the same help.
Welcome mousey, good luck to you. Lovely to have new friends to share my ramblings with.
Hope you all have a great holiday and enjoy any Easter Eggs IN MODERATION (are you listening Suzid :D). Bye for now.

Congrats to the losers...and commiserations to those who have stayed the same or gained.

I have stayed the same :o ...which considering what I have packed away this week...is a miracle!!! :D

Oh well...will have to start again in earnest on Monday...after all the chocolate eating on Sunday!

Have to go now and mend DS2's Scotland waterproof training top to take to the rugby tournament. DH is taking him there tonight...so I must get a move-on! He has just burst a seam...though it is a french seam, so is a bit tricky. It is the side and under-arm that has split, just too much lifting in the line-out and shoving in the scrum...not to mention tackling!!! I just hope he stay injury-free so he can play on Sunday (then Tuesday against France and finally, Friday against Canada).

We will be off to see Scotland play England A on Sunday...at least the forecast is better for Sunday...saying that, it is lovely outside now...shame the washing got soaked this morning...re-spun and then tumbled before the nice weather arrived!

Have a great Easter everyone...enjoy your eggs etc..:EasterBun.then back on the wagon again next week!

Good friday was spent shopping followed by a walk on the beach so at least I got some exercise, was very good and had soup before we left! did eat a lot of choccy yesterday but kept everything else sensible so should be ok, was trying to eat it all in one day so it's not tempting me all week!
Hoping for a 2lb loss this week, weighing in tomorrow morning (as I started on a Tuesday, still weigh daily too though!).

Hey people, I've been a long time lurker and would love to join. Just eating better and exercising that bit more, although the exercise, I am just so demotivated. I can't get any oomph and when I do i'm that sore in the first place that I only last about 15 mins. ANYWAY. My first week and I've lost 3lbs so I am not 18st 5lbs. Hoping to lose weight for my holiday in June but just taking each day as it comes.

    Todays eating:

Brunch: Beans on 2 slice wholemeal toast
Dinner: Bacon Sarnie on 2 slice wholemeal
    Supper: Cheese and Tomato Fajita
Drinks: Cup of Skimmed Milk, 2 ltrs sugar free squash and a cup of tea.
    Snack: 5 Carrots
