Have lost 5lbs so far, weighing every day is something I probably shouldn't do and the differences in days is mad, some days a few lbs heavier then the next day they've gone again, guess it's just water or something and proves weighing weekly is more accurate (though I do always weigh first thing in the moring with no clothes on to get as accurate as possible!)

I too decided that getting the easter eggs out the way as quick as possible was the best idea!

Had a curry an our first wedding anniversay (Tuesday) but was good and had a dansak with half a plain rice rather than a really creamy one with 2 chapattis and rice like usual so am proud of myself for that!

Did devour an obcsene amount of my HM quiche the other day though, we had SIL and BIL over for cards and food so I'd made two so the kids could have some (they helped make it too!) and just kept having slices as I walked past it (I make awesome quiche!) and before I knew it had eaten half of one!! Then more when guests were round... ooops. Still, I did make it with a super thin pasty crust...

    Good morning

Weighed myself yesterday and I'm now 12st 10lb which is 9lb more than before Christmas but means I only put on 1lb over Easter.
It's struck me how dumb it is that I now have to lose that same 9lb AGAIN just because I let things slide:mad:. Also it's DD1's birthday today so I will have to have some cake!
On the plus side I've started doing my exercise DVD again daily rather than when I feel like it.

So today based on a SW green day:
    Br - noodles and sweetcorn.
    L - Eggs on toast.
T - Quorn shepherds pie and peas.

Snacks - fruit, yogurt and cake.

    Have a good day everybody.

Must be PMSing as I've eaten double what I usually do today (hangs head in shame and admits to 4 aero chocolate mousse, 2 rocky bars and a LOT of ginger cake...) Had a huge dinner, but still craving carbs sugar and salt...
How does everyone else cope with this, or is it just me?

    Morning all

Yesterday went a bit haywire, I ate too much cake (couldn't see that coming!) and DD1 wanted D*m*n*s Pizza for tea so I had some of that as well:wall:

But today we finally get back to normal shopping/eating after eating up Easter bits and birthday indulgences and I'm going to do a proper plan. I'm actually quite glad that I can stop eating cake and chocolate now!

    Today will be -
    Br: Fruit, rice and yogurt
L: Quorn pie that I didn't make yesterday!
    T:Lentil and carrot soup.

I also walked a couple of miles yesterday across town so hopefully that did some good.

Hi, can I please join you good folk? I have been losing weight since 4 Jan this year with the aid of Ollierstat (Alli) prescribed by my GP. By the time we went away to Tenerife on 26 March I had lost 10% of my body weight and have returned 7lbs heavier. It's not such a big deal and I have got straight back onto the bandwagon by giving up alcohol again. To be honest after the over indulgences on holiday I'm glad to give it up and can't face the Easter eggs sitting at home awaiting our arrival either! Have decided that I'm going to give mine away - my daughter's karate club are frantically fundraising to help 10 kids get to the WKA Championships in Portugal in October so I will be donating mine to a chocolate tombola to be held at a fun day in May. MrM and Emma have also pledged their Easter Eggs as well.

We are due to go away again in October and have calculated that there are 28 weeks to go which hopefully should equate to another 2 stone loss by then.

We do intend to get back into following the WW plan however we rarely eat Ready Meals (the one exception is on a Thursday night when my daughter has an early karate lesson so it's quicker and more convenient to have them then) and I try to plan our meals a week ahead.

Most importantly though I know I've got to get back into eating lots of fruit and veg and doing some exercise.

Am looking forward to reading all your tips. x

    Welcome VALM!

Well I had a bit of a party weekend and lots of exercise of the naughty variety :p, and not too much to eat. So i legged it to the scales this morning to see my triumph before I go and put it all on again. :D

Pleased to report 4lbs off!!! So 12st 7lb at the moment which is the lowest for quite a while.

Just had cornflakes so far today. Have to get out to shops for food at some point.

  • Hello Valm - how are you getting on with Ollierstat? Does it help? (My friend had some tablets from the GP but they had awful side effects).

Made boiled eggs this am, with a mountain of soldiers for himself. Had Ryvita (no butter) as my soldiers, yummy!

Hi mouseymousey, the thing with the tablets is that you do have to follow a low fat plan or you do suffer the side effects. I was first prescribed them before Christmas and as it was the first time my GP had offered any constructive advice I jumped at the chance - I am only 5 foot tall and at my heaviest (which was even after Christmas) was 13 stone 11 pounds. I tried taking them without watching my fat intake and, as your friend said, the side effects were pretty awful. However they have helped me as I have consistently lost weight (apart from one week before I went away when I was working and there were loads of biscuits to hand and whilst on holiday). I did suffer side effects on holiday as well.

Just before I went away I weighed 12 stone 1 pound.

For breakfast today I have had a sliced banana, 100g very low fat natural yogurt, 1tsp porridge oats and 1tsp honey.

Weighed in yesterday and I've stayed the same this week. Haven't had any chance to exercise as the boys have been off school and I've been off work to look after them.
Also, trying to finish the !!!!in' Easter Eggs!

    Today's food:

    B: Cornflakes
L:Shepherd's pie, peas, Soda Bread and butter, HM Ginger cake and custard
Supper: HM Scone, butter and jam

Also DH, DS1 and DS2 all cycled to the park to play football and I went for a 4 mile walk. Tired now!
